Thank god I don’t go out of my way to buy matching serial number surplus guns because I actually want to shoot them and people obsessing over matching numbers and paying $$$$ for it usually don’t shoot their guns.
I recently had my walther p1 stolen from a nig nog co worker i gave a ride home. He since got fired for not showing up and the local police department already recovered my pistol and gave it back to me. Alright, confession time. I’m actually a Hollywood grade makeup artist. I spend most of my spare time disguising myself as an African american man and catcalling women. I've heard of "Forced Match" where NEW number is stamped on mismatched bolt and barrel, for legal type reasons to import or whatever.
Tampering with a serial number is a felony. Nice larp though.
