Honestly I don't know where this meme comes from that lebanese christians are throwing themselves at hezbollah and bowing down to Bashar al-Assad as their savior. Since the Lebanese Civil War, one of the only things christians in Lebanon can universally agree on is that the Assad regime is untrustworthy, has abused the sovereignty of lebanon and refused to even treat it as a legitimate country, and has caused the MOST damage to lebanese christians of all parties involved since the creation of the state. I'm not even exaggerating: ISIS, the PLO, and Israel combined did less damage to lebanese christians than Bashar and Hafez did. They're both responsible for the assassination of countless politicians, priests, and soldiers, and have literal thousands of old lebanese soldiers from the 1980s still in their prison 'systems'.
Bashar assassinated Rafik al-Hariri when he was using Saudi money to rebuild Beirut after 15 years of self-mutilation of the country.
In comparison, what israel did in lebanon is fucking tame. Today the only christian party I even trust in Lebanon is Ouwet, or lebanese forces. It's led by Samir Geagea and he has literally 5 times the parliamentary power of Kataeb. I still really like Kataeb but they have no power today and are more of a meme. I still have good hopes for Sami Gemayel though, he wants peace with israel at a reasonable cost.
Also, Ouwet/LF has been amassing enormous funds from KSA and the US in order to counter hezbollah.
