even in the 1930s my great grandfather grew up on a family farm that produced everything their family needed. they could sell or barter their crops for whatever they couldnt or wouldnt produce themselves. hes still alive(though not as healthy as he used to be). you could never do that today, you wouldnt even make enough to pay your (((taxes))), even if you managed to generate your own power and made your own fuel. that was what made america great.
