I'm taking up economics and my classmates in my business college are usually plain looking. The hell is this Jow Forums? I think this is because we live in a third world country and leftist ideologies pander easily to the masses as compared to the more developed countries in the west.
I went to University of the Philippines, our country's premiere state university. Our university is famed as the breeding ground of student activists and communists. I've yet to see someone outright proclaim themselves to be conservatives in the campus.
Another reason why leftist ideologies are more adopted by college students is the sociology and politics professors. I remember the time when I was still a freshman, around 15 years old and I was taking up this Political Science course. At that time, I haven't the slightest idea about basic politics. I remember him being proud of his college days when he was joining rallies and hitting policemen's heads with a stick and even encouraged us to do the same.
At that age, I didn't give a flying fuck if he was a hard-on marxist or what exactly is communism. Now that I think about it, if I was older at the time, I would've been easily radicalized and turned into an NPC just like my peers.
