>someone just told me that gas is $3 a gallon in california
What the fuck???
>someone just told me that gas is $3 a gallon in california
What the fuck???
It's actually 3.87 right now.
It's regularly 4 or higher during the summer.
this is what they spend their gas doing
thanksgiving time traffic jam in the los angeles area 2016
Why would it be more expensive in summer?
It's 6.57USD/Gallon here.
In the UK I pay 1.19 pounds per litre, so 5.30 ish a gallon, or about $7...
What should it cost?
That's when people go on vacation / road trips
how does one fix traffic
Did you just crawl out from under a rock?
That's not all that high. It's 2.25 in Ohio and ca is always higher than most states except maybe Alaska.
Quit making retarded posts.
they have had brutal gas prices when oil wasnt the cheapest. probably is just relying on memory
Where can I get it for $3
I'll suck your dick if you tell me where
thanksgiving or christmas traffic? you dont
There was a gas tax that passed last year, the politician who proposed it was recalled.
A repeal was on the ballot recently and that was voted down.
Wtf is a gallon you retard. Measure it in the metric system. Americans are super brainlets
High taxes to pay for all you fuckers and your free shit.
>Dumbasses who believe in free government shit.
now it is
it was almost 5 dollars a few months ago
imagine the seething car cucks
i took this pic a few years ago somewhere in the mojave desert
There is a "Summer blend" which evaporates slower in heat. They have to switch over to, so supply is a reason lower during the time and I'm sure production of the gas costs more.
So?
Don't they have buffer storage?
Yup. It’s $3.60 in Riverside. They know we can pay it, it’s the dark side of supply and demand.
post in store prices or fuck off justin
That sounds like Jewish trickery to me.
How come there is no "summer blend" in Spain or Italy?
I'm at about $3.30 in WA. But I hardly drive, so it's fine.
We use gallons. We still honor our English heritage and imperialism.
Gfys maplenigger. Canada is worthless.
Dude, absolutely everything is taxed to shit in CA. Because sun an ocean. Like for real. That is the real reason.
Thank God TX and FL are humid as fuck. It permits them to know better.
get a job you hippie
Buffer storage? Do you realize how much gas we use here in the US?
It’s less then two here in Oklahoma. Thankfully very few people would consider moving here.
EPA government mandated fuel requirements blah blah
"We need more government"
Not.
DELETE THIS, I ALREADY SEE TOO MANY CALI PLATES
i'm an assistant store manager, not everyone needs to nor wants to drive
>mfw at $1.90 AND living 5 minutes away from a big city
Lmaoing at Commiefornians
ethnically targetable deadly virus
I didn’t want to talk about it. They are the few to which I was referring.
What kind of store?
Congestion charge.
But this triggers the right-wing so they rather keep the traffic jams and only do some symbolic road works that move the choke point down a few hundred meters.
It's so bad because of the population explosion, LA traffic was not a thing when those freeways were originally constructed.
lel it is. what's worse is that CA produces a huge portion of oil, third to ND and of course TX. They literally refine it here and drill the fuck out of the land everywhere that isn't a national park. That's also the reason why LA killed their massive privatized railcar system and built the freeways and roads.
What about staggering opening horse so not everyone is trying to get to the same place at the same time.
It’s like $1.89 by me in florida
It's $1.94 per gallon in most of America
man, i would fucking kill for those gas prices. do you know how costly petrol is here? 7 to 8 dollars per gallon
Woolworths, I believe you used to have that chain in the UK? It's big in Australia, duopoly with Coles.
>I ride the bus not because I have to, but because I want to
Four dollars where I’m at
I'm just here on business thankfully. I'm not a fan of it.
They had it here, I'm from Mackay originally just here for a meating.
Are they any good? I haven't been able to find any local brews that I like yet, but we have an in-town brewery so they flood the stores.
America also has massive amounts of space to put storage tanks.
Just a few cents price difference per barrel is worth it to store your fuel and sell at the higher price.
$3 = 1 US gallon = 3.78 liters = 5.86 Euros
= $6.62 in the Netherlands.
...
what kinda low IQ goblin would live like that. thats an enormous waste of your life
Here in socal right at $3
Almost five in some places
Absolute garbage here, going to leave as soon as i can
I wish it was 3$. Way closer to 4$ here.
That's still less money on average then we pay for gas. Canada is fucking gay. Get me out of here.
It's like $0.40 a gallon in tax. There was a vote to repeal the tax but it failed because the politicians said they can't fix the roads if they don't have the tax and the suckers fell for it. The roads will remain shitty and they'll spend the tax money on gibs for illegals. Then they'll come back in 5 or so years and say they have to raise taxes again to fix the roads. It's an endless cycle and the cucks here are too stupid to see through the lies.
Even gas tanks say gas stored just a few feet underground isn't affected by weather, so getting gas at night or when it's colder doesn't give you more gas like the rumors claim.
When you fill up you need a tight seal so it doesn't drip, so evaporation really does sound like a joke.
The places where gas is most expensive are places where the demand is highest, and that's usually dense urban centers where land is a scarce commodity. We do have storage tanks, but they are for receiving and storing shipments of fuel which are then distributed to gas stations. The gas stations have underground tanks but as I said, there isn't enough land in urban centers for each gas station to have massive reserve tanks, and there's no issue of running out anyway as they are easily resupplied from the distribution center.
It's just supply and demand.
Shitting dick nipples, that's expensive. We pay about $1.20 a litre over here, but ausbucks are like half of your pounds.
I'll give you a hint:
>English: 40.2% (1,397,555)
>Language other than English: 59.8% (2,076,235)
Walk
The only real answer besides "less cars" is automated driving to eliminate traffic snakes and human error. But I'm not putting my life in the hands of an AI robot. I don't even like it when a car isn't drive by wire.
At least your countries have established and lauded public transportation so you don't need to fill up often.
That's assuming your infrastructure is so utter shit that you would run out of gasoline like some 3rd world country.
In a normal society they would just drive fuel trucks to where the demand is.
I'm saying we don't run out of gas, therefore we don't need "buffer storage" like you suggested. We just deliver it from the port storage.
I know a girl with a Mercedes that has one of those speed zone regulators that are supposed to reduce your speed when you come into town or off a major highway. We went from a 65 mph zone to a 35 zone. The car kept going 65.
So yeah fuck AI. It about killed us. And we all know computers never fail or break down.
Agenda 21 mate. They are trying to populate the urban cores and make suburbs unpopular
It's 2.85 where I live
>port storage.
That's what I meant by "buffer".
Note the picture I posted is of a massive port with billions of liters for fuel storage, enough to fuel the whole of Germany for months.
Supply is no reason for fuel prices to fluctuate with seasons.
Nah Australia has shit public transport mainly. I guess the eastern states are a little better but here in SA public transport is very difficult to use unless you're commuting directly into the city, which a lot of people do I suppose. Can't do much else without a car. Likewise there are no interstate trains, really at all.
For what purpose
What happened with New Jersey's gas prices? All through my childhood up until recentily we would fill up in New Jersey whenever we were in the state because it was so cheap. Now they're not any better than New York prices.
Toyota's first attempts at making computer driven acceleration (not even AI, just having the ECU interpret acceleration input from the driver rather than a cable that physically pulls open the throttle body), the cars would accelerate out of control and crash without any input from the driver.
Now make that computer interpret other traffic, traffic control devices, pedestrians, weather, etc. No thanks.
Mate if you seen how bad public transport is in this country you'd cry yourself to death. Opal card is a really good deal.
That girl must be a genuine retard for not hitting the brakes when the automated system didn't do so.
Could have been a Darwin award contestant.
It's over $4 in the bay area.
To stop global warming. The idea is to make suburban and rural life undesireable while making city life desireable. When gas taxes go up, people aren't going to want to drive 40 minuets to get to work because of the gas prices. They'll think that living in a cuck shed apartment is worth it.
Someone has to pay for all the billionaires tax cuts.
When hurricane Harvey hit the refineries that supply the gas stations where I live, people thought we would run out of gas and panicked. They all went and filled up their trucks and Jerry cans and we actually ran out of gas, its possible even in 1st world countries.
>problem bay area and LA faggots?
>So much traffic the roads you paid for are unusable
>Pay an extra tax that will not be used to build more roads
Fuck off kike.
Based
The fossil fuel supply chain is complicated and issues rarely lie between the receiving port and the gas station. OPEC's position in the market has made gas very expensive, and while we are becoming less dependent on these sources, the relationships that determine the price of oil are very interdependent and complex I'm sure. By the time it's refined into gas and on it's way to its destination, the price is pretty much set and local scarcity is almost never an issue.
But the other half is demand, which as I initially said, is very high in the summer because that's when Americans travel by car the most.
Your entire country is smaller then most US states.
The claim was that gas prices go up by 30+% every summer.
Not when there is a natural disaster.
I said it triggers the right-wing.
Thank God I'm not a 9-5 worker. At least shift work gets you home before the rush hour.
Taxes are over $1/gal, but who's paying attention
They're bugs. They do it for the hive.
Most of them never had and never will have a close-knit, loving family. The families they do have are likely broken, live states away, and/or are very small. They never experience nature for what it is. The closest the can get is a small park surrounded by concrete. Their only motivator in life is paper with faces on it, and at most, all they'll ever be is a statistic.
The rural life is the only life.
bitch doesn't know how to apply the brake pedal, and you're bitching about AI? i mean i distrust AI too, but it ain't a computer's fault your lady friend doesn't know how to drive.
California regulations require a cleaner burning fuel during the summer months. It’s more expensive to refine.
all mexicans like 15 million in california illegsly
No
Its because of taxes
I was looking through the gas prices in Cali and couldn't help but notice they were at a high during the Obama era
energy.ca.gov
This.
I heard someone proposed making downtown LA a premium area, but Eric Garceti(The half spic mayor of Los Angeles) said that it was not going to happen. It is the logical thing to do(along with making highspeed rail a priority over cars in traffic), however it will cost the Democrats votes.
Charging to use the highways will only work if the majority of LA residents were public transport users, but even the poor drive because of lousy public transport.
Typical Democrat thinking. Just tax it.
Gasoline is evil you fucking shitlord.
Ecofascism now
most other states are poor compared to california, who alone is one of the strongest economies in the world
