If you want your girl to believe something, you don't try and persuade her with evidence or a discussion - then the two of you are talking and that's fun! The way to prolong it for her is to keep "debating" you. You spend time talking, it's "intellectual" you're paying attention to her, etc. The more she does it, the more she will think to herself that the position she's defending is what she actually believes.
You persuade women with emotion. If you want your girl to believe something, you just assume she does, and act like she does. If she thinks X is good, just assert that X is bad and change topics. Before you know it, she'll hate X. The same rationalization process from before comes into play here - you don't like X, she likes you, she has no reason to defend X, she must not like X either.
