I live in Dallas, and can tell you that one of my parents went to school with mob related to the killing. There was a plot. Things used to be very organized here. The Egyptian was related. Could be multiple things. He was going to shut down the CIA and put the US back on the gold standard. Those are two big possible reasons.

The USA won this island south of Miami in the war with Spain. They set it up as a puppet regime with a bunch of corrupt dictators. Finally, in 1959, this uppity lawyer, his brother, another guy in a hat and an Argentinian doctor somehow won a revolution. They started cleaning out all the corruption and US influence. This pissed the US off as this lawyer guy is hinting he is a communist. So they start trying to kill him. But it doesn't work. Then JFK comes along and gives the go ahead for a bunch of people from the Island to stage an invasion. They would invade first, cause a bunch of shit, then JFK would say the USA was invading to straighten shit out. The plan fails, and the lawyer guy is seen as a hero. The CIA continues to try to kill him, there are hundreds of attempts but none are successful. Since the US is threatening to invade and kill the leader lawyer guy, he gets the Russians to park some nukes on the Island. The Russians like this, because the USA has nukes parked in Turkey. There's a big standoff and the world almost nukes itself. Finally, some sort of a deal is struck and the nukes are pulled off the island and from Turkey.

MEANWHILE, this absolute nut job named Lee Harvey Oswald has been back and forth to Moscow and is in contact with the Island people in Mexico. He figures that since the CIA has continuously attempted to kill the Lawyer guy, he would kill JFK. This would certainly impress the Russians and the people from the Island. He has an old shitty Italian rifle. He goes up to a book warehouse, opens the wind and gets off three shots, one was a head shot.
