Honestly redpill shit is haunting because it draws on fundamentally true things about the world. I'm not saying it's all true - just enough true to make the rest seem legit. I think when I was younger I was like ... life should contain this intangible quality, this important thing, more important than everything else, this transcendental quality made of love and compromise and honesty and sacrifice. This is because life had yet to dump on me again and again and each time it did my expectations changed, my cynicism grew and I got hurt and tired.
