Statistically, relative to the size of the Catholic church abuse is rare in comparison to other religions. Orthodox Judaism ranks highest. Still, the Church is not a great role model of christianity as so many gay and lesbian priests are spreading their garbage. The same way they preach things that the Bible doesn't approve there will be others that do things that are as well frowned upon in the Bible due to their positions of power.
The difference is that Islam and Judaism actually find instances where these practices are acceptable while christianity doesn't.
