For those of you that don't know this is in the middle of a metropolitan city, coyotes are only seen 20+ miles away and wolves only seen very rarely 200+ miles away
No coyote stands a fucking chance in hell and no predator is ever going to group hunt more than one large animal in a night there is no reason to and it is very dangerous for the group

Used to work on a horse farm, they would kill coyotes almost every night and be unwounded. Canines really do not stand a fucking chance against 6 llamas.

We have coywolves but you all seen to seriously not grasp how unrealistic it is for any group of animals to accomplish this feat, let alone in the downtown part of a city. They have to travel 10 miles in any direction to access anything larger than a park.

There significant evidence of Cougars repopulating in the Eastern US but state and federal DECs don't want to admit/acknowledge it for some reason.
i live across the river from louisville, and it actually has a forest in the middle of it. also there are plenty of coyotes in its vicinity. that being said this is likely just a few dogs

They would be hard to discover, if they were even medium size they’d bury themselves really deep. And they would have instincts in the way cats/dogs do to cover up food so that other animals don’t know they are in the area, or in this case the holes they make.

Also, everything that moves leaves a scent trail and tracking dogs exist, tracking predators from livestock kills with dogs so they can be exterminated is a skill and practice damned near as old as Animal Husbandry.
