In retrospect, everyone who acted like Bannon leaving the administration back in 2017 was not a big deal is looking mighty silly. Much of Trump's strength came from having the right people around him. Look at his admin today: a bunch of GOP retreads and Miller, and who knows how much influence he has.
Everyone's "sudden" anger at Trump is justified because this has been an ongoing trend for a while: he talks shit, gets owned, and winds up signing some bullshit to save face. The last month has been a total failure:Mr. Art of the Deal has been owned by a woman named Nancy and some Jew named Chuck. Catch and release is mostly a thing again. Great job.
People like Bannon kept Trump on track. a counterweight to the subversive influence of the Kushners. Now trump is all alone with the counter-revolutionaries sans Miller. The tragedy is that, at times, we can still see the real Donald Trump emerge in his hatred for the courts, who place their personal opinions before the National Will and then try to justify their treachery by using big words.
Trump's agenda has gotten increasingly bipolar the more actual nationalists have been removed from the cabinet. There is a legitimate criticism to be made about Trump at this stage. It's been three years. Yes, he's had to deal with enemies in congress, but he has still wavered, time after time, from doing things that were 100% within his right and power to do: wasted almost a month to declare a national emergency and ended up signing a gay bill. Did mr. Art of the Deal REALLY think he could get a good compromise out of Chuck and Nancy who refuse to negotiate in good faith?
