I went to an insular school with prejudiced professors. Plain and simple. I was just too immature at the time and didn't know what to do. Like I really thought it was my fault. But at one point, my lab professor took me into the hall and showed me my project, only it looked like someone had smushed it. She just looked at me and I looked at her. She was like "do it over." I was like "uh... ok?" I ended up not graduating.

The same thing happened and is still happening to young people of EVERY background. It's a gray game. Not totally evil, but they leave a lot out. College shouldn't be sold like a used car.

College cost is insane. Are they teaching courses that cost more to teach than thirty years ago? Harvard has so much money they invest in money making ventures. Education is way overpriced.

I was an average white student in Florida, got some state scholarships (Bright Futures) and went to college for like $2500 a year. I worked weekends to pay for things and never took a loan out.

If you don't have the means to leave the state, go to a private university, and pay $50k+ on school, then don't do it. There are plenty of decent colleges in each state.

My lowly college got me in a position where I'm now making ~$150k here in Switzerland and I'm literally nothing special.
