That being said, there was a "white" or "castizo" upper class of about 300.000 people. That upper class is where the good looking women come from. They are the sons and daughters of Italians, Spaniards, Germans and Portuguese that migrated to Venezuela during or post WWII.

In some parts of the country the European admixture is higher. You have people with much lighter skin and green eyes. They are the minority though. You also have an elite class that basically never mixed, or mixed very little. They are still European. Don't be fooled though, they are a small minority.
Also, many of the European-ish Venezuelans had the money to leave left years ago. They are already in the US, Canada, Europe, Colombia. If we get an influx of refugees they'd be dark, left leaning and they'd vote democrat.
You have to remember that Chavez was swept into power by the poor. He redistributed the wealth that didn't flee and he did tons of government projects in the barrios. They still love Chavez and they think Maduro fucked up their beautiful Bolivarian socialist revolution. Many also think the US killed Chavez through the CIA giving him cancer. We don't want these people flooding into the US.
