I tried fried insects in Thailand and they weren’t bad. The larger the better actually, the smaller, more chitinous ones just taste like the McDonald’s chips at the bottom of the bag but the ones with some meat on them were literally like nuggets/tendies. I imagine preparation plays a huge part though, can’t exactly just throw em on a barbeque, but fried and spiced was fine.

1. Insects are better for the environment than cows, and much cheaper to farm. Presumably you could get better margins on them than with beef if you got people to accept eating them.
2. Getting rid of meat gets rid of toxic male things like barbecues, hamburgers, grilling culture, etc. It's also another step closer to a world culture since shitskins and poor people eat bugs all the time, and they've gotta disabuse rich/white countries of the notion that they're above bangladeshis.
