I maintain that he got Rodrigues to direct not only because only Rodrigues could make a $400 million film with $200 million, but also because the original author and Rodrigues are like brothers in their style, Cameron would have only ever been able to imitate the original, whereas Rodrigues could do it naturally, because it's the exact same fucking style he's had all his life.
