he was saved by faith alone?

Dude that happened so long ago christians have done so much good for the world since then drop it JUST DROP IT OKAY

Crucifixion for theft is pretty severe

Yes should have just gladiused him through the heart

The thief died under the old covenant.

The only reason you know about the thief on the cross is because when Catholics compiled the bible, they wrote that story into it.

He was baptized posthumously.

LDS is the true church.

what do you mean by that? the old covenant was faith alone too?

The only way for salvation under the old covenant was to uphold the 10 commandments impeccably. Are you trying to argue the thief did this?

God is not bound by the sacraments. He can forgive anyone he pleases, but he's not bound to because your misinterpretation of scripture says so.

Baptism of desire (Latin: Baptismus flaminis) is a teaching of the Anglican Communion, Lutheran Church and Roman Catholic Church explaining that those who desire baptism, but are not baptized with water through the Christian Sacrament because of death, nevertheless receive the fruits of Baptism at the moment of death if their grace of conversion included "divine and catholic faith", an internal act of perfect charity, and perfect contrition by which their soul was cleansed of all sin. Hence, the Catechism of the Catholic Church observes, "For catechumens [those instructed in the Catholic faith who are preparing to be baptized into the Catholic Church] who die before their Baptism, their explicit desire to receive it, together with repentance for their sins, and charity, assures them the salvation that they were not able to receive through the sacrament" (CCC 1259).

The Baptism of Blood is a similar idea, for unbaptized martyrs

Jesus Aka God said the man sins were redeemed.
What Protestants say always is that faith alone saves you or you are already chosen, but really the only one who is the truth judge is God. He alone has the power to accept or reject someone.

>wow, look how dumb i am
>ohh, leaf..

You're dumb, and ignorant, unlike me, who's smart, educated, and I'm aware of an historical fact.

The theif on the cross spoke with Jesus in their final moments together. He was one of the first people to be saved by Christ.

I fucking cried when Jesus forgave him during Passion of the Christ.

the theif on the cross repented before he died thus going to haven because he told jesus and was the only one that saw jesus on his last hours

the theif died for his sins but because he repented he got something no other crimanal would ever get that that is the keys to heaven.

They can`t because Catholics are pagans whether they know it or not.

the two men who died next to Zeus were his
two witnesses, he told them where he was
going and said they could go too, one of them
accepted right away the other took awhile
then came around. they both were waiting
for Zeus outside of this realm, in eden. thus
making them his two witnesses.

bump
you are saved by faith alone
through faith god works in you using the Holy Spirit. accepting Him leads men to want to be more like Christ and therefore causes them to live a life of repentance. Every man should know he is evil, otherwise he’s only lying to himself.

>E. Michael Jones
>"a disreputable sodomite pedofile cult is the only one true version of Christianity"
WRONG.

" Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Matthew 7:15-20

yeah but Catholics famously believe you need to work your way to heaven, so how did the thief get saved in their view? i've never gotten a coherent answer. mostly they just say God made a massive exception and saved him anyway for fun.

Try to argue that with a hardcore OSAS person and you'll get told that by repenting he was doing a work and therefore he had no faith and wasn't saved.
