There wont be any 2150 kid, not even 2020.

rip

For you maybe

There is oil on mars?

>US
>(((US)))
god i hope we can keep this planet kike free.
first expeditions will be VERY DANGEROUS & HARD WORK.
should be enough to keep kikes away for a while.

SpaceX is aiming for 2024.

No, but Helium-3 maybe

>believing in "space colonies" or "terraforming" and all that gay, 1960s space opera shit

We'll turn the moon into a Matrioshka Brain and colonize it with virtual humans by 2150.

Attached: matrioshka-brain.jpg (800x600, 126K)

>virtual humans?
fuck that digital transcendence crap.
If that happens, they arent humans, they're copies of human consciousness at best.

Once we are done with earth it will look like mars does.
Martians used to be more redpilled but it still didnt save us

>US colony by 2150.
>niggers on Mars
no thanks

Future site of the largest disaster in human history.

US. 2150. ??? Bwahahahahahaha

transhumanism is gay as fuck. Life transformed into everlasting death.

*Deuterium

the best part of venus is that you don't even have to terraform it right away, you just live in the clouds until it's done, and you probably want to live in floating cities anyway to control/have a day night cycle

This is now an /etm/ - Earth to Mars thread

>kike free.
what if we made it into new Israel? It's not like they would insist on war with neighboring countries, if there were no neighboring countries.

The first Mars Colony is predicted to be established as early as ~7 years from now. Very quickly the colony is going to expand, and it is becoming clear that it will not be long until proper commercial emigration comes in to play. This means the first large influx of settlers over the next 50 years are going to be families who can afford the ticket. Only people who can afford to move there will be able to.
Lets face it - with the way things are going right now, a strong European presence on Mars is the only way to truly secure our future.

>Plan:
/etm/ is a new general and a work in progress. Essentially, once the colonisation effort becomes commercial, we need people, fully aware of the problems on earth and what to avoid happening to Mars, to move there.

/etm/
>inb4 space is fake
kys
>inb4 STOP LARPING
the short term goal of this general is to simply re-inspire each other on the subject of space exploration & colonization. We hope to promote a new positive attitude towards life on Mars amongst those who value the future of the European peoples.

What percentage will the US be at in 2150? 5.6%? 0.56%? Either way they won't be colonizing Mars.

>The first Mars Colony is predicted to be established as early as ~7 years from now.
You stupid motherfucker.

will be filled with fast food resturants and mexican labourers in a decade

The best part of Venus is its 0.91g gravity, almost identical to our 1g surface gravity on Earth. Even further interesting, Venus has a 2bar nitrogen atmospheric component and has hydrogen in the atmosphere (bound in acid components) with which quite some large amounts of water can be created.

Venus, by a long margin, is the closest twin planet to Earth we have found anywhere in the universe. It’s quite remarkably.

The technology is there, view any of the extensive nasaspaceflight forums on the topic, heck you could build a payload manifest from those threads. The only thing we are waiting on is a cheap, reusable heavy lift rocket which does indeed seem to be on the cards very soon.

Clearly they won't be colonising mars, if anyone it's probably going to be something like the Chinese or Russians. Though this will be a lot longer than 2150.
More like the year 2500 at the minimum, and we are talking about a small colony that basically live in air-tight buildings all connected in a small area on the surface most likely. Nothing like open cities or towns etc.

First of all there is no atmosphere, second of all you can't grow anything there, thirdly it's difficult to get there, fourthly it costs 5000 dollars just for each pound of anything you send into space (so getting a lot of building materials there will cost hundreds of trillions of dollars).
And lastly, mars has a much worse climate and isn't even a nice place to live to begin with.

It is absolutely realistic to think the rockets will be ready and have at least one cargo mission sent by 2026. If for some reason the BFR doesn't work, we still have Robert Zubrin's Mars direct plan to go with, which has become even more feasible with the success of the Falcon Heavy.

Attached: bfr-stagesep-879x485.jpg (879x485, 39K)

only because planets our size in the universe are almost impossible to detect with modern technology, even if they're only one or two stars over

Elon said that we will start colonizing mars by 2030 (2024 first manned mission)

>The technology is there..........I viewed some internet forums..........
Another low IQ retard, you are just a perpetuation of the retards in the 60's believing in moon bases. Stupidity in every generation. lol

You have literally no idea what the fuck you are talking about. Pick any topic that is problematic about Mars colonisation and I will rip you to fucking shreds you uneducated moron.

>It is absolutely realistic
It isn't if you have an education and aren't a low IQ retard that lives on the internet. Little low IQ dumb fucks have been on internet forums for decades now claiming a mars colony is coming soon.

Yet in something called reality we haven't even managed to land a single person on mars, get a reality check you stupid moron.
It costs 5000 dollars just to send something weighing 1 pound into space to start with.

You probably are some stupid dumb old fuck, dreaming it's coming soon so you can see it. Well none of us on this forum are going to see a mars colony you stupid fucks, if there is someone on here who is a young teen they may be alive in their old age and see a person land on mars, but that's about it.
And considering the way the world is going (the trajectory) it's likely going to be a Chinese or Russian that does it. sorry

By 2150 i think the usa will have imploded to 2 or 3 states

No so fast whiteboi
Superpowers colony by 2021

Pretty sure we could theoretically live in venus' atmosphere at a certain level too.

>I will rip you to shred...........
In your head, you are just a mere uneducated and stubborn child. You are like the pigeon that kicks the chess pieces over and believes it won, you are just stupid. Your very messages are a testament to you having your head in the clouds and lacking in education.

Too many Hollywood movies for you retards on here.

they absoutely had the technology such a thing to be done by the 80's though, in fact the Von Bran's manned mission as well as project NERVA was cancelled in favor of the useless fucking space shuttle by Nixon. By the time the actual 80's rolled around, thanks to NASA completely fucking up the 90 day study, we still haven't done it.

Not an argument

No thanks. The US will send nothing but a crew of niggers. Would rather have China and Russia team up than the US send their crew of niggers to be the first on Mars.

I wasn't even born when the Mars direct plan was first proposed faggot, you have yet to state exactly why it can't be done within the next decade, especially with the rise of NewSpace and the success of re-usability lowering launch costs within the last few years.

Mars is a political project.

No, I agree with the others. Installing a mostly automated gas station does not a colony make.
It makes it easier, but it's not a colony.

Attached: 1550960803262.jpg (800x1910, 547K)

True... I wanted to add that having 2 planets of Earth’s size both with substantial nitrogen atmospheres (plus oxygen and hydrogen) in our solar system bodes well for finding other close to 1g “Earth type” planets in our galaxy. Not to mention both Venus and Earth are in or close to the zone viable for liquid water.

In good time, something looking approximately like the rocket in the middle of this image will perform cargo and manned flights (it is likely to change a good deal between now and when it flies). First to the Moon (manned and unmanned), then to mars in an Unmanned mode.
There is considerable excitement about this
especially considering the shift to a steel-hulled vessel. Steel construction is much better understood and much simpler to undertake.

Attached: 1547352091962.jpg (800x1200, 123K)

Dudes. You guys need to see some of the articles about Kepler's findings.
Earth-sized planets are difficult to find, but we've found at least tens if not hundreds. Most are awful places like Venus or even more frozen versions of Mars.

aren't a lot of those only found because of peak conditions in where they're located, those are just the ones we got lucky finding, their are still probably tons that are small and don't give us any hints or chances in finding them, like we find a lot of earth size planets because they're orbiting other ones, are super hot and thus give of a glow we can find, stuff like that, if one was actual normal like ours it woudn't have stuff like that, thus we haven't found them

what a load of drek that is. Anyone with a datajack and an iq above an orks can figure out they're just trying to offload some top secret shit into space before someone digs too deep. Those people they plan to blast off to mars are probably deckers who know too much. Best you steer clear before you get drafted to the mars colony as well.

It's too late for that now.

If I'm remembering it right the special case is the stars are mostly on the small side, which means we can observe many full orbits over what to us is a short time.
Spotting habitable planets around sun-like stars will take a little more work.

The idea of a mars colony is a science fiction idea which is only believed to be realistic by uneducated kids who typically hang out on internet forums who have been influenced by Hollywood movies.

Few facts for you pea brain uneducated children on here and your mars city fantasies.

1. Mars has no atmosphere, not only will you die there if you take off your space suit.....but flora (trees/plants/grass) can't grow there.
2. Mars doesn't even have a proper magnetic field anymore, it is hit by harsh solar winds constantly.
3. The UV radiation on mars is deadly thanks to basically having no atmosphere.
4. It costs 5000 dollars to send just 1 pound into space. It literally would cost more in fuel and spacecraft to mine mars than the entire mined material is worth.
5. Mars is freezing of the night time, typical temperatures around the equator at night are as cold as Antarctica. The poles are even colder.
6. Because of the barely existent atmosphere mars is very dangerous in regards to cosmic radiation, on earth this is nearly all blocked or changed by our wonderful atmosphere here on earth to be less harmful.
7. You aren't even going to have a man on the mars in 7-9 years. Sorry.

The “Martians” are just retards. Why in the world would you put a colony in space at the bottom of a gravity well for no benefit?

It's a question of infrastructure distribution. Space Habitats are more of a sure thing, but they're more fragile and require a lot more hardware to build in the first place.

>The idea of a flying machine is a science fiction idea which is only believed to be realistic by uneducated kids

Attached: Capture.jpg (1103x621, 88K)

These things are just fun for internet kids to believe in, the people living on the moon ideas from the 60's were never posited by legitimate scientists or educated people either. But it was a science fiction idea that resulted in some lower IQ people within the population thinking it's going to happen soon.

Most of these kids and their mars world are a result of people who lack in education who look at movies like total recall and zone of the enders and similar science fiction based things.
There are even internet kids who believe that the USA has secret technology and can teleport to other planets, they believe this because it was on a movie and also they found some other internet kids talking about it.

It's basically all akin to the "what if Matrix" meme, after some idiot looks at the Matrix movie. lol

Even though Hollywood and other industries are purely fictional, it doesn't stop less educated people from subconsciously believing in those things they saw in the movies.

And then in 2500 superpower india will conquer this

Attached: images (70).jpg (320x283, 12K)

India will likely never be a superpower. In fact over thousands of years India will likely be dissolved into the slow Chinese invasion into their territory and culture. The Chinese did this to many other peoples, they know how to do it (but it's a long term plan).

Already in north eastern India this is what the people look like there.

fucking chinks

Attached: 47234523.jpg (1280x688, 99K)

But a “Martian habitat” would have to have every bit of infrastructure as a space platform, and then some.

It is truly sad that we don’t have a city in space. 60 years ago some rootless cosmopolitans convinced us what we really needed was more feral savages. I suppose if we have a huge war and the savages can be partially domesticated they may have been prescient but I doubt it.

Neo-Britannia will rule outer space

wrong.
the chinese will colonise the entire solar system before you realise what the fuck just happened.
im making my kids learn mandarin.

meme, China can make good NIKE copies, but thats it.

The people in your picture look like Japanese, not British.
Plus I don't think the British empire will rise again. It only rose once in history and it was a lucky time.
Similarly there isn't going to be another Portuguese empire either.

>Britannia
Doing well so far.

Attached: 1551008438669.png (500x744, 226K)

Well I only mentioned the Russians as a token next to the Chinese. I am well aware it's going to be the Chinese doing it, but when you mention the Chinese alone it triggers and pisses off the white supremacists. So I throw in Russia there next to it so the white supremacists can at least cling to that idea instead and not go insane at me.
