The bottom of the progressive demographic (the useful idiots) don't understand what money is or where it comes from.
So, they focus on taxation. Which is entirely irrelevant.

The top of the demographic understand exactly what money is and where it comes from, and so purposefully direct their followers towards taxation (which they can trivially avoid), meanwhile benefiting directly from the money creation process.

Because there are two ways of making money:
- through work
- through investment

If you don't tax the rich enough they will make more and more money through investments.
But it's a zero end game, meaning the people making money through work get less and less.

ie: if you don't tax the rich enough the rich investors who sit on their ass all day get richer and richer white the working people get poorer and poorer.
Currently this is the case in every Western country.

Eventually working will no longer be worth it, the entire economy will collapse, and we'll have a revolution on our hands.

I should also point out that most countries have a progressive INCOME (=labor) tax.
Generally money made through investments gets taxed LESS, and in many cases they aren't taxed at all.
That's why the super rich like Steve Jobs want to have a taxable wage of $1 per year while making all their money through tax-free stock options.

The law sets a tax rate, but the wealthy don't actually pay that rate - they have a team of lawyers that dodge, write-off and hide offshore anything they can which deprives the nation of revenue and support of infrastructure and it's people. Veteran's benefits are the largest make up of social aid in the U.S. It's lumped in with nigger-gibz. The G.I.
