Read Christianity: The First Three Thousand Years by Diarmaid MacCulloch if you genuinely do not have an idea on where to start and find what interests you out of it. Should be pretty easy to find material from there.

Baptism is a sacrament. the 7 sacraments were instituted by Christ himself. the other 'churches' have no authority to perform them. Christ passed that authority unto apostle Saint Peter (the keys) and it was passed on for 2000 years. the moment u leave the boat(Lutheranism, Protestantism and so on) u are giving up on the sacraments.
so u havent really been Baptized unless it was done by someone with such power and authority(direct sucession from Peter thru the Catholic Church)
still, u can pray and ask God for guidance and u shall be Baptized and become a part of the Mystical Body of Christ - The Holy Church
