I remember.... the honk wars.... every day in the trenches, baking pies.... my mentor and friend, Honk Von Beepler... they had us surrounded.... that brave honk ran into a line of pie fire... all to save us
I personally love it. He's funny and is great as a reaction image. Honkler has also made me reevaluate how I think memes spread. I used to think the mutt meme was super forced when it came about. But now seeing the divide with this one, and really liking it myself, I think the mutt may have been more organically used than I thought. I just didnt see it as anything but over the top shitposting, because I thought it was dumb.
I can see how people would like it, especially since my fellow Americans, myself included, love to shit on other countries and with the mutt meme they finally had a triggering equalizer. However the mutt meme has a spooky esoteric connection. Way too similar to the royal jester’s imo. More close to the jesters than Honkler
I'm enjoying it because it's putting a lot of energy back into what Jow Forums always was. A forum where all ideas get challenged and no one is above being dissected and called for what they are. The last few years of boot licking and stroking off political figures in this administration is not like this place at all.
