I've been working for some years in nightclubs and bars and after some time I've come to this conclusion. People combine going out and drinking alcohol for 3 different but very specific and interconnected reasons: 1. Talking 2. Dancing 3. Having casual sex
Now, here's the plot twist. Men go out and drink alcohol because 1 or 3. Women go out and drink alcohol because 2 or 3. If a Man just wants to talk with his buddies, a Woman will use number 2 if she wants number 3 to get that Man that only went out and drank for number 1 to go for number 3 too. It also works in the opposite way. If a Woman just wants to dance with her friends, a Man will use number 1 if he wants number 3 to get that Woman that only went out and drank for number 2 to go for number 3 too. You see the logic in that? The thing is that if you go out and drink you're casual sex meat. I don't care what you girlfriend or boyfriend may say. They're all exposed to STD's, brutal impersonal sex and bathroom blowjobs.
If every nightclub experienced an Orlando fag bar shooting I would welcome each one of them. Loud music, overpriced drinks, and scum of the Earth people all in one.

Well when I was a kid my friends would go out and get drunk but they wouldn't have sex they would just drink with each other, barely talk to girls.
I went through a phase of going out by myself and approaching one girl after another until I found one looking for sex, then I'd take them home or go to their place. But this was pretty degenerate.
In total, I don't think you can say that everyone who goes out is specifically looking for sex. Some people like the idea of sex, and maybe they choose an activity that slightly increases the possibility of sex, but they are too wimpy to go beyond that into actually having sex. I mean guys go out thinking that sex might happen, but all they do is stand on the side of the room drinking. They have a few drinks and they go home without talking to anyone.
As for girls, they just like going out and being wild and the drinking is just part of the whole thing that they do, and it's part of the addiction of it so they drink too and they like the drama the alcohol tends to create. I honestly think a lot of girls will do this but not seriously think of going home with a guy, though they like being wild and crazy around guys because they like the attention, but their often happy just dancing with their girlfriends.
I think that's the typical, when it comes down to it most normies are too shy to have sex with random strangers. They need at least two dates before they do that.
People who go out specifically for sex are either degerate freaks, abused, sexualised victims or badass psychopaths who don't get affected by embarrassment.
