Best President of the 20th century. He genuinely cared about the country. I saw an interview of his where he talked about his decision to resign, it was so sweet. He knew he would be impeached and removed from office, and he didn't want to put his friends in congress on the spot, or have the country deal with an "illegitimate" President for half a year.

It wasn't just Nixon's hostility to Jews. Prescott Bush groomed Nixon to be a politician, made him a Congressman, then made Nixon Vice President under Eisenhower in the 1950s.

Then Prescott Bush made Nixon president in 1968, but Nixon refused to make Prescott's son George HW Bush Vice President. To Prescott Bush and the other founders of the CIA, this was unforgivable.

Watergate scandal was a CIA coup against Nixon. Nixon was surrounded by CIA plants, even his lawyer John Dean. And George HW Bush was the head of the Republican National Committee at the time.

Bob Woodward was CIA, briefly trained as a journalist and planted at the Washington Post. On Woodward's very first day on the job he started being spoonfed CIA intel about the Watergate narrative.

Woodward being CIA is why he has been the official biographer of almost every president since.

The Bush crime family goes back even before HW Bush, to his father Prescott who helped found the CIA. And after they took down Nixon, Gerald Ford was supposed to appoint HW Bush as Vice President, but Nelson Rockefeller had even more leverage and got the job.

Then Reagan beat HW Bush in the 1980 primary, and Reagan hated HW Bush's globalist guts, but HW Bush was forced onto the Reagan ticket as Vice President. And within 3 months of Reagan's presidency, a Bush family friend shot Reagan and HW Bush became the de facto president for the next 8 years, and another 4 years after that as the official president.

He was a man who played hardball politics. He thought he could get away with it because he was doing the same thing that everyone else had done for years.

The movie is entertaining, but largely bullshit. The Texas character played by Larry Hagman is imaginary.
