FMA as a whole was always trash. The manga and Brotherhood stopped being worth the time around half way through, whatever little worth was there anyway.

The movie doesn't make sense because the Zeppelins and war had already started when he died and went into the gate. Beside the fact everything in central that's a enlisted is a nazi.
Just watch Brotherhood desu. It's a more grounded show in that it doesn't do the wonky timeline stuff ( though I did enjoy the og fma on a rewatch a year or two ago, always loved shamballa when it aired on AS). Brotherhood clearly sets everything in place, jews as homonculus, zionists as father, with the obvious countries being the obvious countries. All around great and redpilled show on the spirit of man.
