I've seen guys on Jow Forums doing it too. They detest the Black Panther Party and any type of "pro black" or anti-white ideology yet for some reason they like Tupac who stood for exactly that. There are videos of Tupac saying "fuck white people" yet even the most racist whites seem to like and respect the guy. He stood for Thug Life and would have supported Trayvon Martin, Black Lives Matter, and every other black cultural issue that vexes you in the modern day.
Is it to do with some kind of conspiracy theory that says he was taken out because he knew too much about the elites? I don't even see that though. the guy was just a rapper at the end of the day who did some reading in prison and came across as being a little more smart than the average street thug.
Why not like all outspoken or political rappers then? Why only make the exception for Tupac?

I think it's because his music and lyrics appealed to those who felt like they were being oppressed in some way or form. Made you feel tough and like you understood something about the system. I read someone describing rap as "demented poetry" and it's pretty apt. I'd like to classify it as poetry because I'm a dirty relativist. On the other hand I'm Hungarian and poetry means a lot more to us IMO than in the anglosphere. For example we still teach quantitative metres in high school, and it's part of out literature and poetic canon, because it fits our language. Hip-hop is mostly just monorhymes (AAAA) often with no regard to syllable count either, with a couple of internal rhymes thrown in, like above.
