I started following him late last year, so I missed the whole Venezuela thing. The fact that he always claims to be a democrat, yet almost exclusively criticizes the left makes me think there isn't an ulterior motive. He opens himself up to be criticized by the left and the right.

Two things to keep in mind when watching Tim Pool:

1. His "will he wont he" back and forth in regards to the red pill is a complete cocktease and a hook/gimmick to keep you watching

2. I watch a lot of right wing content, some of it pretty wingnut ig I'm being honest. But no one on YouTube ignites a white hot rage towards the left in me like he does. For someone who portrays himself as a center left guy, he has a very good aptitude for producing right wing rage bait.

Also keep in mind that 90% of his work is just commentary and punditry. Hes a good journalist, but most of the time hes just reading his opinion of the news. Dont confuse this aspect of his work with journalism.

I watch him nearly every day and I like his content, but I definitely think he has decided to pander to a right wing audience simply due to the stories he picks to cover, the way he presents them in a way to get you all riled up, and the perpetual subplot of "will THIS finally be the thing that causes Tim to renounce the left?!" that runs through his YouTube work. It's not genuine.

He is a homosexual pot head skater that goes to youtube skeptic meet up orgies (bottomed with Sargon and Vee Monroe) that plays like he is centrist/liberal but is a complete social justice freak in the sack.

I'm just saying, I think you'll be waiting a long time for that to happen. Hes been 'about to crack' for at least as long as I've been watching him (probably 2 years or so). That could be possible. Hes a public figure and was a darling of the left in the early 2000s. I was pretty bashful about my drift towards the right when I was in my redpilling phase because everyone I surrounded myself with was a lefty and it would have strained those relationships greatly to even bring it up (in my experience, the left hates skeptics in their ranks way more than unabashed shitlords on the other side). So maybe he doesnt want to lose his friends or taint his legacy in any way.

But at the same time, hes obviously in tune with Jow Forums culture and as close to the red pill as he supposedly dances, his irrational drive towards defending Israel and the Jews is what really makes me think hes not genuine. You dont have to be antisemitic to see that Ihlan Omar is 100% right about Israel for instance yet in his mind criticizing AIPAC is unironically unnuda shoah

Weirdly so. I dont use the JQ thing as a purity test by any means, but Tim is one of those "how dare you point out that Jews make up 40% of the supreme court but only 2% of the population" types, he rushes to their defense over anything (or nothing) just as sure as pavlov's dog drools when it hears a bell ringing

not a fan of his defense of Jews, but everything else is pretty solid. At the very least, I can appreciate that he doesn't talk about Jews that much.

So my thoughts on Tim Pool Joe Rogan video were that I was pleasantly surprised. Very reasonable but overly rational, like rationalwiki rational. I think when you become too careful you cannot speak to too many things and thus your worldview becomes unspecific in regards to many important things in history and facts of reality. That is to say that things that are true aren't so obviously apparent (for instance 9/11 was deliberately not prevented, USS Liberty was an overt show of force and a false flag, etc). It makes it more palatable but I've realized when Tim says at 19:10 "NY digital journalist elites" or 23:55 with "journalism is dominated by self identified liberals" that should be a 'DING DING DING' PSA moment. Imagine if more than half the New York Times staff or the number of Hollywood Executive Producers were Creole Haitians. Wouldn't that be worth pointing out? Well that would be racist so Tim Pool will never touch that subject as if he pointed out how powerful some group is they definitely wouldn't be able to set the fangs of several agencies upon him forever ruining his career because they are absolutely not powerful. Tim is right about the progressive tax though it must be directed at elites (who control the power structure) and not working class people or even people making like $10mil. We want more people with 10mil as they are the people who can hire people it's all so complicated but capitalism needs fine tuning to say the least. His points on the left being inoculated with war fervor is essential. Why is Bernie, someone who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, calling for the usurpation of a duly elected socialist leader in Venezuela? The thing is I am sure even I could corner him in a conversation to have him get out of what is an obvious comfort zone as he isn't really shaking the boat too much and yet look at how he is treated. They nearly outcasted him for trivial journalistic shit. Insane.
