I find very weird that not another platform like youtube exists

i find very weird that not another platform like youtube exists.
i mean like youtube but without the google censorship
they actually tell us what to think and what to believe and anything they disagree on gets banned or shadowbanned
is there any other video hosting site as popular as youtube without the censorship obviously not pornographic
i just want to know if there is a place where people can share their beliefs without being silenced
image is irrelevant i dont support trump

I mean there obviously is not, but youtube is not a monopoly. They are not directly stopping another site from being popular so there will never be a good reason for the government to intervene. Maybe in the future, a Jow Forums of videos will pop up who knows.

Servers. Expensive servers.

if you stop watching there shit they just buy whatever you are watching. its pointless. there will always be "fringe"

YouTube is not profitable.

It doesn't make money, just like twitter. The billions in revenue is offset by the enormous operating costs. These platforms are massive monopolies and are only sustained because of their owner companies massive wealth.

They could always use Nicovideo.jp

Nico video is slow, shitty and not friendly to baka gaijins. The future is Billibilli.

can't wait untill Ben Garrison finaly drops.

Right wing billionaires are fucking faggota for not spearheading a free speech internet

It would hurt them quite a lot.

Vid.me was a thing for a while, but it died.

user, your age is showing.

I remember being in middle school 13-14 years ago when there were several video hosting websites. I don’t remember any of the other ones because they all became defunct, but they were definitely out there. I bonded with a classmate because we both preferred YouTube.

In the beginning YouTube we just slightly better than the competition. The videos pretty much always loaded (which was actually rare in those days), they loaded quickly, you could skip, and the web design was pretty straight-forward. Over time more people flocked to YouTube than the others and eventually the other ones became esoteric dinosaurs that you’d only use when YouTube removed your video for whatever reason (usually copyright because of a song on your sweet AMV).

There’s nothing stopping anyone from trying to make YouTube competitor, everyone just knows it’s futile because YouTube has basically perfected the model. Sure, big content creators are peeved because the algorithms are inconsistent and they constantly change the rules of behavior without telling anyone, but for the average user it’s basically perfect so why go to farmersonly.com when you could just download tinder.

Google is the only company able to maintain the massive loss that is Youtube.

Is it actually true that Apple doesn’t allow Pro-Life Applications on their platform?

There were sites like ebaums, break, there was sonys little divx venture too, etc all that shit got pushed out though. Vimeo is still around but really the market is so difficult to compete in simply due to the traffic, these industries are already so wildly popular they're practically a part of average culture at this point "i don't know how to do x, hey try looking it up on youtube." Etc, the monopoly created is insane.

There's Bitchute

i think there's a market for a youtube alternative, the issue is that it wouldn't immediately have as much content on youtube, nor would it have the actual power (servers, etc.) that youtube has

The billionaires that have the money to effectively run platforms of that size are more interested in turning people into pacified consumers than providing "free speech."

>Those AMVS
Don't forget stick figures on crack

How does Twitter have operating costs?

anyone here use tixati.
we should make tixati great.
its torrent based.

Doesn't yt get billions from government subsidaries?

Google/YouTube is an arm of the Intelligence Apparatus of the Imperial Merchant Class. They effectively have unlimited funding.

Any competitors that look like they offer an alternative get bought out early on and brought into the fold.

Did you think you live in a 'free society'? wtf
You bitches are OWNED.

this

Bitch Chute is literally the worst company name EVER
why why why

Because (((YouTube))) is now a monopoly and anyone who tries to make another one will get (((shut down)))

Most of them are covertly owned by Google.

Fuck the left and fuck the boomer.

>user, your age is showing.
He’s a Mexican

They tried taking down Bitchute and failed, they will try a second time.

'Free' to do as we are told.

I have often wondered the same as op.
Why only one of these sites dominates?
Facebook over Myspace for example..both offered similar things?

There's stream.me and bitchute as well as Vimeo. Your complaints mean nothing Pablo.

banning free speech takes a lot of time and money

>Open porn site
>A wild glitch appear
>Redirects to main page
>It's youtube

a bitch's ute is usually a pink holden

Ding ding ding. Youtube wasn't profitable for a long time, there is days worth of content 300 hours of content is uploaded every minute on Youtube. I'm actually suprised it's possible to keep up with that kind of traffic.

There isn't shadowbanning on Youtube, it isn't Reddit.

D.tube

Entire data centers in iceland pulling 20-30 megawatts.

At .03 kw/h geothermal energy. Looking at 9 million per month.

Google was buying up all the streaming sites and sucking them up into google to control what the goy see and share amongst each other. youtube is a money pit, but that's irrelevant when the ((Deep state)) is the one funding you. Hell, it was a business, faggots were setting up shitty streaming sites intending to sell out to Jewgle the instant the offer came in.

Dailymotion is still a thing. Vimeo as well but that's super gay.

Yes there is. There is even automatic shadowbanning if algorithms detect spam.

>they still don't just power their own servers by slapping jews onto treadmills and telling them that their profit margins go up 0.01% per mile ran

Spikedhumor was also cool, miss that shit. It was a video site but with some social stuff, articles and rants. Sucks it got sold, spikednation was just never the same.

Shouldn’t be surprising at all. Here is how the business model works. Think Walt Disney. White man spendds many years working hard to develop a talent that people want to enjoy. Creates many things that make people happy. Some rootless cosmopolitans realizes there is an opportunity here to not only make a lot of money but to have a profound but subtle, covert influence over society. What ever happens, time passes, Walt dies, no one in family wants the job, whatever so rootless cosmopolitans take over. They don’t particularly give a shit about “family values” but rather “the greater good for the tribe” or whatever. So what once was an entertaining family values venue for entertainment becomes a blizzard of Social Justice propaganda that children should actually be protected from.

So the model is, successful business? Check. Opportunity for growth? Check. Opportunity to spread insidious culture destroying propaganda that results in even more power for rootless cosmopolitans? Check. You can see this business models in practice in many places, YouTube is just one.
