I mean, it's certainly possible that Hitler killed himself in his bunker, it's just that we have absolutely no evidence at all to suggest it. The Soviets literally just said that, and eventually we rolled with it, kind of like one other thing as well.
I'm not some huge conspiracy theorist trying to tell you he for sure got away, but they did have escape plans, and Hitler's body was never found. One skull was held up for years as Hitler's skull by the soviets and it turned out to be the skull of a woman.
