The absence of an external safety only matters if there's a round in the chamber. Which I would hope there was, but for the average security guard, maybe that's not how they carry. Who knows?

I've left mine on the bathroom sink a few times. I'd probably never leave it in a public stall, but we're talking hundreds of cops, over hundreds of days per year, taking shits multiple times per day. It's bound to happen every once in a while.

That's completely true. It may require more strength to pull the trigger but there's nothing to stop a child from picking it up and using if left chambered. Children have a much harder time figuring out how to use a safety.

Americans are so fucking lazy that they don't want to have to engage a safety before using a gun. Trigger 'safeties' shouldn't be considered a safety at all. Any gain in draw speed is lost in accuracy due to a heavy trigger pull and they produce more negligent discharges. They're a terrible idea for law enforcement.
