By or before 2028, agriculture in the northern states will become impossible without massive greenhouses due to ever increasing record breaking amounts of rain, leaching nutrients/minerals from the soil and making plants/trees susceptible to fungus and insects. According to their own projections we're talking 2-4 degrees rise in temperature over the next century. But what is the basis for thinking this is true in the first place? How do you even begin to create an experiment to figure out how the world would be at 3 degrees hotter? Do you build a little earth in your laboratory? Do you heat it up yourself and cool it down again just to see? Or do you just make some bullshit up and send it off to peer review? Because as anyone who have been involved with geophysics would know, the planet have been much hotter than that before. In fact, right at this moment we're in a remarkably cold period on a geological time scale, seeing how we're at the tail end of the fucking ice age. Seems like both life and humanity survived that just fine, without any global government socialist programs to carry us through.

Where does this idea come from that some random point in history, the 90s or something, is the perfect and optimal temperature for earth for eternity? Why would you even consider such a notion seeing how we know full well that the climate on Earth has always and probably always will change radically.
