>There are people on Jow Forums, right now, that don't own a single firearm
What fucking cucks!
>Not owning guns in 2019
Most are probably Canadians
OK how do I get a gun having never fired one?
Just google it faggot. You can literally buy a gun online and have it shipped to your local gun dealer. You go in, sign a piece of paper and they run your background check. You go home with your gun
Search for and ign up for a gun safety course.
Canada actually has one of the highest firearm ownership rates in the world.
First, what state do you live in?
I live in a gated community with 24hr security and my home has a contract with local police that guarantees their arrival in under 3 minutes
AnywAy, owning guns is for poor people.
Your state of residence is the most important information needed to answer this question
Go to a gun store. There's three in your town. Tell them you have never fired a gun but want to learn. They will know someone who teaches gun safety and handling. Take a course, shoot, learn how to use a firearm. Then go back to the gun store and buy one. That's it.
At least we don't have nogs or spics, so our violence rates are pretty low in comparison. Also no second amendment. Mfw my self defense is reduced to a Mercator k55k and even that's illegal lol....
Go to
>Democrat flair
>lived in a gated community guarded by cops
>wants open borders
Checks out
You wish you could afford deez guns. Poorfag bitch.
>BOOM BOOM CRASH
>Someone kicked your door in at 03:00
>You immediately dial 911 and explain the situation
>The person who kicked in your door gets to your bedroom just in time to kill you while you're on the phone
>They see that you're on the phone with the cops, so they get the fuck out
>Police arrive in time to take pictures of your corpse
>They find the guy a couple blocks over, hands still covered in your blood
>You're still dead, though
>he thinks guns are only for defense
>he doesn't shoot for fun despite having money and leisure time
I pity you, mostly. You can have an incredible time shooting if you've got that kind of money to burn.
Australians can and do own firearms.
It is always preferable to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Also, apparently your criminals didn't get the memo and are roaming around with literal SMG's.
Go to a range and rent some if you are serious about owning a firearm for actual usage. After that fill out the forms and jump through your particular state level hoops to get one.
I own firearms because I am a law enforcement officer. Civilian access to weapons of mass destruction is an archaic idea and those of you who cling to your weapons will be killed when when confiscation beings.
>muh come and take it
Oh, we will. Let's see what a bad ass you are in we park a bear cat in your living room and a 16 man tac squad fills your kids with lead because you wanted to larp as Rambo.
Unless you count my Hi standard.22 pistol, I'm one of them. Also have a crossbow, but not sure if that counts.
Academy or Cabellas or literally anywhere that sells guns. Have your ID, SSN, and you'll be good.
After that find a shooting range and go shoot it ya cuck.
I'd tell you to do the Math, but I doubt you could considering the content of your post.
It's Russian Roulette and anyone stupid enough to go door to door to confiscate guns will get killed sooner or later. Have fun.
But if you have a gun legally in Canada 90% chance it's the cops kicking in your door to "verify" your gun safety.
Even a .22 is better than a pointy stick.
Those are also really fucking gun plinkers. Never sell it.
I'd suggest grabbing a Ruger LCP or something of the sort at least, though. They're so affordable and convenient there's really no reason for you not to.
great human being here, a real fine specimen...
KYS bootlicking scum, ever heard of the Constitution of the United States of America?
Fuck off larper
Nigga i got crimsafe tm installed. I'm talking about concealed carry. There is no point to firearms if they are only available half of the time.
I've been heavily involved in the Canadian firearm community for over a decade and the ONLY case I have ever heard of someone getting a "checkup" was a Chinese dude in Toronto who was buying and selling AR's like mad and they wanted to make sure he wasn't running a business without a business license. The cops caught a lot of flak for it and the guy didn't actually have any issues.
According to the law, only a Firearms Officer can request to see your firearms, not just any cop, they have to set an appointment (no randomly dropping by) and they can only request this if they KNOW you have over a certain number of firearms.
It's not worth their time and they know it.
Goober and a liar.
idk, I guess I haven't bought a gun yet because I'm scared that I might want to kill myself with it. Sometimes I feel like shit and want to end it all, having a gun might make it too easy for me.
Eh, if shit ever kicks off I figure I will just pick one off of some combat larpers corpse. Thanks for the advice though.
While concealed carry laws are definitely something all freedom loving people should strive for, being able to defend your home is reason enough, let alone the ability to harvest meat and participate in shooting sports (the most fun you can have with your pants on, I assure you).
I have one in every room. EVERY room.
Put on your big boy pants, drive to the gun store, and pick one.
>door to door
You really have no clue what world you live in. Every single civilian gun owner is known to government. Maybe you never filled out a 4473 because you thought it would be cute to circumvent gun laws, we still know. You bought something with a credit card/debit card, maybe it was just some CLP or a cleaning kit, maybe it was a sling, or a holster, at some point you told us that you own firearms. You are then ranked in a threat matrix that looks at everything from your credit score, social media history, and criminal record, to your medical problems. High risk individuals will be visited first, and then we work our way down the list. You wont even realize it is happening until it's too late, and anyone who is a real threat will be in custody or dead by that point. You already lost.
If I buy a gun, I want a big ol' cowboy revolver that won't jam on me in a crisis. How much maintenance do they generally need?
In the 1990's when Canada's firearm ownership laws became much tighter, we did see a drop in suicide by firearm, however it was accompanied by a proportional increase in suicide by hanging, thereby leaving a completely unchanged total suicide rate.
If you aren't killing yourself already, then owning a gun won't change that. If offing yourself is ever the best solution to your problems, an exit bag is your best bet anyway.
I would suck your dick if you let me fonder that big beautiful bitch for 60 seconds.
Better to die larping as Rambo and not suffer the kids growing up in this twisted hellscape then it is to put on the police gang uniform and do the dark masters' bidding.
Don't know if you're really a cop or having a larf, but Cops ruin more families and destroy individuals lives than guns in this country every single day of the year. Perhaps not all police are bad, but it's a demonic profession that employs low IQ cowards who are willing to sacrifice the lives of their fellow countrymen to feel like they have power in their own lives.
Wtf is wrong with your face?
The populace of America can never be fully, forcibly controlled without a mass loss of life. This is solely due to the huge amounts of guns owned by nearly fucking everyone.
Good luck going door-to-door to millions of residences in America with a '16 man tac squad', when they all hate you and want you dead.
Civilian access to weapons is what makes America strong, the people are essentially a military themselves.
When does your visa expire nigger?
I'm a lawfully licensed firearm owner. Of course the government knows I own guns. There is also zero reason to confiscate them because licensed firearm owners are statistically the most law abiding people in Canada.
Of 611 homicides in 2016, only 4 were committed with a firearm by a licensed firearm owner. That is approximately half a percent.
Lawful gun owners were never the problem and confiscating arms from people who aren't the problem only creates a new problem.
There are 28 times more firearm licenses than all cops in Canada put together, including pencil pushers. If you went in teams of 4, that would mean ~112 visits each. If only one percent of firearm owners resist, that's a LOT of body bags. The RCMP couldn't handle a single fucking guy with a 300 dollar M14 clone.
Revolvers can and do jam.
Autoloading firearms require approximately the same amount of maintenance as revolvers do.
The advantage of a revolver is that it isn't as load-sensitive as an autoloader (as in underpowered ammo won't cause a malfunction), but you shouldn't be using ammo of unknown reliability in your firearm for defensive purposes anyway.
Defensive ammo priorities are RELIABILITY, EFFECTIVENESS, COST. In that order.
My visa debit? 2021 IIRC.
My citizenship is forever.
I have 16 guns. I also reload my own ammo and cast my own bullets out of wheel weights.
Single stage or progressive?
I'm building a .300 BLK so I'll be getting a reloading setup ASAP to cut down costs.
So if I wanted to just blow away a nigger who comes into my hovel, a semi-auto tacticool cawadooty special would be just as valuable as an old fashioned single action revolver? Or are shotguns still the "only" way to go for home defense?
Single stage for now. The only thing I hate is trimming brass.
Building mine now, Glock 19. Just need the barrel which I should get in a few weeks.
Single-Action revolvers are primarily used for Cowboy Action Shooting (A LOT of fun!), general plinking and occasionally Silhouette Shooting. I'd recommend against it for anything but a last ditch gun (The NAA mini revolvers, for instance, make good backup guns).
When it comes to handgun rounds, the vast majority of them make little more than an icepick-style wound. Shot placement is king. You want a hit to the Central Nervous System or the heart in order to stop an assailant the fastest possible. For that, any cartridge that can pierce enough flesh to hit said vitals is fine and the number of chances you have to make that shot before having to reload is a better advantage than something being really big, loud and having a hefty recoil. Remember that you'd most likely be shooting indoors without hearing protection. Loud things are loud.
Shotguns have the highest one-shot-stop rate of all firearms, but aren't effective past 150 yards even with slugs. An 18 inch Maverick 88 is more than adequate for home defense and is very budget friendly. If you plan on modding the gun over time, then it's worth upgrading to a Mossberg 500 or 590 instead.
Yeah, trimming brass seems like a bit of a pain.
What tumbler do you use?
May he rest in peace.
I dry tumble but im thinking of changing to a wet tumbler. Too much dust with the dry one and the cases don't really get shiny.
I hear the kind of media you use is important in that regard.
I got an electrified expandable baton. Much funnier than a gun because anyone who fucks with me will love to remember how fucking bad it hurt
And your plan if they happen to be carrying a problem solver?
Yeahsomeone recommended me grass sees cat litter and it sucks dick. Im just gonna go buy a bag of small rice and use that.
Texas
In what state is this legal?
In my state you need to
>Go to NRA training class
>do shooting course
>fill out lots of paperwork
>pay lots of money
>get fingerprinted by cops
>get background check done by cops (pay for both
>get 30 day permit
>go to state govt building
>wait for longterm permit to come in
>go buy gun
it's not even worth it in my state.
Then no worries.
Open up google maps and search for "gun store" in your area. Look up reviews, browse their wares.
If you're looking for a cheap pocket pistol, go with the Ruger LCP.
Spend the rest of your budget on an IWB holster, a couple mags and some ammo.
Basically, you want to buy one box of each ammo available to you. Go to a nearby range with a piece of tape, a pen and a notebook.
Write a number on the tape and stick that on the bottom of each mag.
In the notebook, write down which mag and ammo you're testing.
>Mag 1, American Eagle so and so grains
If you get a failure, jot it down.
>Failure to feed on 2nd round
If a magazine keeps getting similar issues with multiple brands, the mag is the issue. Put it aside and resume testing with the more functional mags.
As previously mentioned, the priorities for defensive ammo are RELIABILITY, EFFECTIVENESS and COST in THAT order.
When it comes to just practice, it's COST, RELIABILITY and then EFFECTIVENESS. You want to put as many rounds down range as you can as regularly as you can.
If you want to get a lot of practice for cheap, a .22 pistol is a good thing to get. The fundamentals of marksmanship don't change.
Carry varies a lot by state. Some have "Constitutional Carry", where the 2nd Amendment is your permit to carry.
Another fun fact is that many states actually issue carry licenses to foreigners. A bunch of Canadians actually carry in the US.
guns are for fags, real men prep the bull and get fucked by traps
Actually, rates of firearm ownership skyrocketed among the gay community after the Pulse Nightclub Shooting.
I'm not insecure enough to have one.
>There are people on Jow Forums, right now, that don't own a single RPG-7
What fucking cucks!
Being defenseless doesn't make you safer.
Pretty much every state that isn’t absolutely cucked
In some states, like Texas, you can buy a gun from a rando online and have it shipped to your door, so long as both you and the seller are Texas residents.
Sauce on that carbine?
It’s a calico M105. Semi auto 22lr with a 100rd helical magazine mounted on top. The M105 was only made for a short period in late 1986, but they’ve been making the plastic stocked M100 since the 80s. If you google it, you’ll notice the M100 was the gun used in the movie Spaceballs. It’s a neat gun, basically an upside down 10/22, but the length of pull is absurdly long. It’s longer than an A2 style buttstock, longer than a fully extended AR carbine stock.
Ah, didn't recognize it without the mag.
Pretty ahead of its time.
The Calicos were also used in at least one Bond film, but the name escapes me. IIRC it was the scene where he's skiing down a mountain.
it was tomorrow never dies. I don’t think he skis in that one though
Could very well be. Last time I watched any Bond movies was many years ago, let alone the Brosnan ones.
Can you really? I've met up with someone from texasguntrader to buy a rifle but I did not know you could ship it. Does it have to be a carrier other than USPS?
Interstate sales of firearms in the US requires that it be shipped to an FFL. The fees the FFLs charge vary, so shop around and make sure to tell them you have a gun coming beforehand. Don't send them a surprise package.
Okay, I reread your post and realized I totally misunderstood.
Yeah, shipping within the state is fine. You could also just arrange to meet up at a local range or something.
I'm clearly too tired to be posting at this point, so I'm going to bid you all a good night.
May your groups stay small and your mags full capacity.
I’m not sure, but you can google it. Most people are likely not going to feel comfortable doing it, but I’ve seen a few Texas sellers on AKfiles who specifically mention they’ll ship to your door with a Texas ID
Fuck off leaf
Walk in to a store and buy one.
Absolutely faggit teir. How do they sleep at night?
You trust people you barely know eh? Kek.
WTF is that a semi automatic 50cal?
They can only do that if you own restricted firearms. Even so I have never heard of that ever happening.
You put some thought into this LARP I will give you that. You guys don’t have the man power for an operation like that without people finding out, it would cost thousands of lives. Not to mention that lots of people in the army would not go along with it.
No, there's a bolt on the left side. It's a Bushmaster BA50.
Subhuman iq detected
NC, KS, MO, TX, etc.
Hell, with my valid carry permit I can buy a handgun in NC without the need for a background check.
Picked up a new Glock 19 MOS Gen 5 a few months ago.
Was in and out of the store in about 10 minutes.
Someone was selling one on AKfiles a few months ago for like 4K. Did you buy that?
Seriously though how can you call yourself an American and believe in this?
You had me freaking out there hahah.
I have a crossbow and plastic spoon
Nope, not me
I just went to bass pro in Grapevine and bought a gun then took it to the range when it wasn't busy and had a friend show me the ropes
>bought a gun at bass pro
Holy fuck did you let them live your asshole before they fucked it raw? Cabellas was always at least at MSPR, bass pro is above.
I got a $500 gift card from grandparents
There is literally no way to own (decent) firearms here if you're not a politician or a policeman.
But I am thinking of milling my own 1911.
I love shooting guns but I don't own one cause I don't trust myself to always be responsible with them. Just like how I haven't tried to renew my drivers license since it became apparent that I can't stop getting reckless driving charges. So yeah, I don't own a gun mostly for the safety of myself and those around me.
No such thing,
