The issue is, they're exposed to one side. The 'whitey be evil racist' side.

Problem with that though is many people are lazy. They will read the tweet and take that alone as the evidence. The smaller fraction who check it out might be swayed, but I believe a net negative. Also, people who are swayed gain knowledge on what "rascists" are willing to do, to submit evidence in that form using that trickery. It tells them that they are crafty, and that alone might persuade them to ignore the evidence.
