Lent is the journey home to God before Easter. Deny yourself worldly pleasures and vices (to an appropriate level, don't go full John the Baptist immediately), focus on repentance, how you have failed in serving God, be attentive of your sins pray more, give more to others. It's a struggle if you're doing it properly but there's nothing more fulfilling than that feeling of returning like the prodigal son.
