Why are millenials and Gen Z types always crying about being poor while accruing more and more debt? I was at the bar this past weekend in a college town and it was nothing but debt comparrison/recreational whining. Delicious tears from the $500 "new" car payments, to 5-figure student loans, to credit card APR rates on a maxed card, to the cost to live alone in a nice downtown apartment that costs $2-2.5K/month + utilities & wifi. By midnight after a few pints of $9 craft beers and $17 orders of chicken wings they all start barely coherent ranting about how Bernie or the "D" canidate is going to wipe everything clean and they'll have a fresh start after Trump is out of the office. It's amazingly bizzare. What gives? How did debt become a badge of honor?
I go for the big tittied 21 year old roasties. I'm divorced, and they're fun.
The situation will definitely improve over time as more jobs get created. Especially the kinds of jobs you can do while studying to offset the costs and invest in your future.
To be frank, public school and lack of parents teaching their children life lessons are two major roots of this new evil.
Millenials have never been taught how to control their money. You have to be taught the Holocaust but not basic economics. You are told you must get a college degree and that it is totally worth it, and that you will be guaranteed a job no matter your degree.
The thinking you witnessed is childish, for sure. They want an authority figure to wash away their bad decisions that they were told was good. They're trapped but keep trapping themselves and somehow it's evil rich people's fault they aren't living within their means.
Tax foreign ownership of real estate heavily. Stop importing millions of people who lack job skills, an education, the will to work or even knowledge of the official language(s) of the country. End corporate welfare and remove barriers of entry into the market.
Owen Collins
They feel poor because they live on social media with 3,000 'friends' they never met in real life. So that's hundreds of Instagrams every time someone buys something new they can't afford.
Joshua Hall
theres all this extra crap that they push on you. cellphones laptops cable tv netflix. dont get a flagship phone get rid of your tv get a $150 chromebook instead of $2000 macbook get rid of your subscriptions cut down on your monthly expenses stop spending $100 a month on fortnite vbucks
Connor Anderson
I know a guy that spen $5k because his dog had cancer yet ironically complains about being broke
Henry Reed
Underrated comment. Thank you, that makes sense.
Aiden Turner
>Millenials have never been taught how to control their money They are already taught basic math
Levi Young
Uh you would save a dog you loved too nigger
Ian Green
No I wouldn't and $5k isn't that much to me Its a dog
Austin Ward
thats one of the best uses of an extra $5,000 of course if you dont have an extra 5000....
i feel bad for him. i lost a pet a few weeks ago its hard to know when to let go
Adam Murphy
if you have 5 grand to blow on a dog have another kid instead
Angel Parker
It's not like millennials have stable relationships with people. For most, pets are all they have.
Henry Robinson
>. For most, pets are all they have. And that's the problem
Cooper Allen
2008 fucked their retirement schedule up. Those that had good jobs kept them if they could. My mother lost her job, and boy did she ever learn that the diamond handshake meme didn't work anymore. It was a wake up call for a few Boomers, buy most stayed in their delusional mindset, hoping to mooch off their already stressed children if they could. Really, there's plenty of blame to be spread around. One would hope there would be lessons learned, but we're dealing with humans here.
Angel Howard
There are some boomers who lost it all during the recession
And there are a lot who are have to keep supporting millennial manchildren
They aren't taught to use it in a practical sense. It evades them until you point it out.
Thomas Parker
I was born in Colorado and have nowhere to go. The entire fucking country is moving here and we don’t even have the opportunity to save because rent continues to increase.
Camden Thomas
I spend all my money on avocado toast and cucumber water. They spent all their money on toys, like rvs, convertibles, Harleys, and home theaters, or going on cruises.
Ryder Reed
>sales price >real income
Nice fake data, Canadian
Caleb Lewis
>It evades them until you point it out. Well that is just being stupid and it is entirely their fault
Christian Martinez
What are broke people doing in a bar? Going more in dept?
Ethan Nelson
Leave. I'm a CO native and moved to greener pastures. Head north or a bit east for what Colorado was 10 years ago. Transplants that relocated for "LOL weed and any job I could find" destroyed it for me.
Ryder Campbell
Drowning their sorrows?
Juan Evans
>Build nothing but McMansions >Gen Y & Z can't afford McMansions >Not allowed to build tiny homes >Force banks to give loans to minorities who can't afford them >Nearly destroys the entire world economy
No, we have to maintain control of our state and gas the transplants. Us saiyajin are stronger in greater numbers
William Powell
>tfw live deep in the mountains and rarely interact with front range scum Last time I went to Denver I felt like I was in a third world country. Never seen so many spics and nigs in my life.
Xavier Robinson
>in depth
What did he mean by this
Cameron Stewart
In department, obviously!
Gabriel Fisher
It is. I was a 'Springsfag and it all went south - normies that can't afford Denver or Boulder run down to the 719 or Pueblo. Enjoy the mountains, I do miss being on the other side of 24.
Ian Rivera
It is, though I want to blame parents for not pointing it out. Children are busy doing kid things and being relatively carefree. It takes less than half an hour to explain to your children how money works.
Of course, Boomers barely know, so blind leading the blind it is.
Jackson Bennett
>when wages are shit compared to productivity, inflation has eroded spending power and thrift, and living costs take much of what's left but the REAL solution is to not have kids, work shitty jobs with no bargaining power and low wages, stop eating avocado toast, live in a cramped """apartment""" with 4+ other people, prioritize work over sleep and everything else, and just walk in and give your boss a firm handshake
>boomers and neocons brainwashed everyone that if you go to university you guarantee yourself a well paying job >parents tell you that if you don't go to university you'll be a failure >everyone goes to university >takes out hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of loan before you can even drink >get a highly specialized educated population in a short period of time >not enough specialist jobs to meet demand >forced to work any job, usually for minimum wage >living pay cheque to pay cheque >zero hour contracts don't even guarantee that you work >still technically in full employment >suddenly everyone is realising that university is a fucking scam, especially for burgers >stuck with hundreds of thousands dollars worth of debt >no chance of ever paying it back
Hmmm I wonder why Milleanials and Gen Z complain about debt. When the wonderful land of the free and the brave sold them the idea that if they take out those loans they'll be set for life, and everyone believed it. Now rent/housing prices are rising, while salaries are staying the same. With minimal prospect of progressing in any company when there are at least 10 temps for a job that used to be done by a single full time employee. And every company is trying to cut the amount of people they employ in favor of automated systems. Shit's fucked my dude. Record unemployment rate though...
Jordan Lee
All the working Gen Z people I know seem to have a pretty decent handle on money and a fairly good work ethic. I enjoy working with them.
Millennials are just stupid, entitled and lazy. They’re going to have a rough future.
Alexander Diaz
>>boomers and neocons brainwashed everyone that if you go to university you guarantee yourself a well paying job Why were they stupid enough to listen to them?
Jeremiah Miller
>5 grand for a kid Whats with the constant "have children at all costs" posts lately? Having children you cant raise in a stable household when you dont even make enough to survive is nigger tier.
Isaac Taylor
Something about the part where people want you to have a diploma for literally any fucking job. They make the requirements in their job postings impossible so they can claim nobody meets them and fly in some guy on an H1B with fake qualifications. I saw one listing where they wanted more years of experience in an application than that application had existed at the time. Think about that for a fucking minute.
Jackson Perez
>Well that is just being stupid and it is entirely their fault And? Does it being their fault change anything? Do they have less political power? Are any problems fixed? Most people have always been dumb. It's up to the smart people to stop them from destroying themselves and everyone else. If you don't, they will find someone who claims to do exactly that.
Elijah Diaz
We thought we could trust our elders.
Cooper Phillips
I didnt say you could raise a kid on 5k only that if you have 5k to waste on something as stupid as a dog you should have enough to have another kid
Joshua Sanders
>only that if you have 5k to waste on something as stupid as a dog you should have enough to have another kid 5k is not a lot of money in any situation. I had $5k saved up and more to blow before i was 16. I was not and still am not ready, financially or otherwise, to raise a child.
Caleb Wright
>for literally There are plenty of good jobs you can get without a diploma >I saw one listing listings are for NPCs Network >Does it being their fault change anything? you want to change things do something about it instead of blaming people Your teachers are not your elders 90% of them are bitter angry feminists
Luke Nguyen
>why are people receptive to repetitive messaging, advertising and propaganda Gee I don't know...
I mean it worked as advertised for a short period of time in the first half of the 20th century, it also only cost a fraction of what it does today. Indoctrination takes a few generations to wear off.
Jackson King
How much do you have saved up now? How much do you save every year Kids are nowhere near as expensive as (((they))) want you to believe
Jace Mitchell
>I mean it worked as advertised It doesnt work on everyone
Ayden White
Do you mean the ones that are being automated or the ones that they only hire illegals who get paid under the table? >listings are for NPCs Do you not know what H1B's are? Are you fucking stupid? >Network Yeah, because the companies that hire based on nepotism are FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC to work for.
Jeremiah Hall
>only hire illegals who get paid under the table illegals do shit work >are FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC to work for. They are
William Miller
>Your teachers are not your elders >90% of them are bitter angry feminists
In the mind of children and adolescents, yes they are. It's terrible.
Adrian Barnes
>not ready, financially or otherwise, to raise a child. This idea is one of the biggest mental fucks of whites. The idea that your kid is well off being an only child with 10 tutors and the best gaming systems who stays inside all day. Rather than having 6 siblings split between 2 rooms actually going outside and having some freedom. Helicopter parents are cancer.
Your parenting ideals breed antisocial autists.
Caleb Adams
Well yeh... But when you're in a post war period and specialists are in high demand, you'll take everyone. Literally every boomer I know with a degree got a job offers to every place they applied. Now you're competing against thousands of locals for that one position as well as everyone else in the world with a H1B visa.
Nolan Evans
I've worked at multiple nepotism-based companies and I had to threaten a walk-out just to get my OT paid, OT which I was ASKED to put in.
Wyatt Martinez
Are you asking why they do this kekage? >because they're stupid and have learned nothing >because they're children >because they have no job prospects
Jonathan Martinez
All of the millennials I know are able to make decent money The problem is they waste it on stupid shit
Joseph Butler
I have hardly shit because im finishing up my engineering degree and living on my own. However, why would I even consider having a child before i have a house and enough money saved up to take care of it and my wife? Taking care of yourself is expensive. Throwing in 2+ more people and their needs and wants requires at least a full time job making median income. Not everyone with a few grand and a sick dog should choose to save it for the eventuality of having a kid.
Jeremiah Flores
Well there are good and bad companies Nepotism is not the problem
Carter Hall
>I go for the big tittied 21 year old roasties. I'm divorced, and they're fun. I wish you'd back off this claim. Young roasties and thots are easy for us older men and while I agree with you, I never bring this up beforehand. Also you sound like hardly a man, your final two statements are justifications for both your presence in the bar, and your alcohol consumption. I make excuses for neither. Makes me question on whether you are a man or not, but then I see your memeflag and realize you are an owned faggot like Anglin posting from your prison in moldova where you are being held on pain of being turned over to Interpol for fucking Ukrainian 11-year-olds.
Anything other than meritocracy rots the company from the inside. The older the company, the worse it gets.
John Baker
Why would you delay buying a house to save a dog?
Juan Scott
>Anything other than meritocracy rots the company from the inside. No it doesnt There is nothing wrong with hiring people you know
Henry Smith
based
Dylan Turner
>have kids instead
Kids cost exponentially more than dogs. You must be a millennial with that poor math skills you got there.
William Brown
When every single upper-management position is either of the same family name or married to someone with that family name, there's a fucking problem. Personally, I'd rather not have to get married to someone just to be able to climb a ladder.
Isaiah Peterson
Wasting even $5 on stupid shit sets back the time when you will be able to afford kids
Blake Bell
>there's a fucking problem. Not if they are competent people
Cameron Green
fucking all of these, boomer grandparents love their cruises, boomer boss has a fucking y a c h t in his front garden and a huge rv in his back garden on a propert he probably paid 100k for while we work for less than miniumum wage and even small properties now are 300k+ starting. Fuck boomers, fuck every single one of them
>I will be a genetical dead end so I can buy a new iphone every 6 months Well...I guess evolution truly does work.
Grayson Morris
>31,786$ average US income Seems like shit money to me fampai. How much of that is left after taxes and insurance? People being financially irresponsible is nothing new, most people are completely financially illiterate. Doesn't change the fact that the jobs are shit and the pay is shit.
>competent people in management nice meme
Angel Bennett
>Fuck boomers, fuck every single one of them what is your generation doing to fix things?
Dylan Mitchell
I had a good manager, but he wasn't upper management and the highest position I could've gotten in the company was his job, soooooo. Yeah. They were shocked when I left, as if I wanted to be like the other people there who had been working the same fucking job for 15 years with no upwards mobility.
Asher Clark
Let me tell you, I'm in between of nothing that's why I'm poor. I want to work as a white guy I have a problem to obtain a permit here.
Jayden Hill
>yes goy, have kids you cant afford, living in squalor, raised on welfare, next to niggers and spics, while you work constantly just to put food in their mouths
Having grown up just this way, i can tell you that youre wrong. Ive seen the kids that grew up with middle class parents and ive seen the kids that grew up the way I did. Guess which ones almost always turned out better? I would bet that you grew up middle class and feel this way because mommy didnt give you enough privacy. The most obvious sign of your hypocrisy is the fact that you have no children or waited until you were stable enough financially to have them because everyone with half a brain can tell you only niggers have kids they cant afford.
Because 5k is not a down payment on a house.
Nathaniel King
working 60 hours a week to try and get our own property or land apparently for our descendants to enjoy, sucks being a zoomer
>too late to discover and colonize the world >too early to explore space
,786$ average US income That includes part time workers and drooling retards >>competent people in management yes >Because 5k is not a down payment on a house. it is a % of one if you are saving for a downpayment why would you then waste 5k? >working 60 hours a week to try and get our own property or land apparently for our descendants to enjoy, sucks being a zoomer most are not They are wasting their money on pets useless trinkets drugs/alcohol and travel
James Wright
you've got my vote
Landon Perez
Yeah, I'd rather not have my entire family harassed by running for office. Canada will get the government it deserves.
Gabriel Nelson
>that includes part time workers and drooling retards >326 million population >128 million in full time employment (39~ %)
That means 60% of your country are part time workers and drooling retards. You don't see a problem here?
Camden Perry
I used to live in an RV. It was actually one of the funnest times of my life, and when I saved the most money. Now I have a wife and debt. Think twice about shacking up with the vaginal jew and mortgage jew, my friends.
Chase Miller
million population million in full time employment What are children women and old people?
Christopher Lee
How'd you manage winter? Or are you in BC?
Samuel Nelson
Those numbers are for ages 15-64
Aaron Torres
Yeh my bad. I completely dun goofed on that one. I forget that children and old people exist.
But still, supposedly 128 million are in full time employment and about 156 million total employed people in 2018. So 18% of those employed are either getting paid nothing, which is a problem. Or their impact on the per capita salary is pretty minimal. Going from 32k to 38k is still shit money.
Jayden Walker
holy fuck $300 in coffee? I think my wife spends like $10/month on tea bags, and she makes some awesome tea. These broke dick faggots need to stop going to starbucks in their van-house. I'd say stop eating out, but these nigs dont have a kitchen. Perhaps they need to start dumpster diving?
Brayden Ward
No it doesn't there are 326 million people total in the country
Xavier Jenkins
Im not saying i would spend $5k on a dog. My point was simply that $5k is nothing when it comes to raising a child. I know what it costs to keep myself alive. Taking care of 2+ more while keeping a respectable standard of living would be impossible for anyone not making $40k+ a year and i live in the midwest. Saying anyone with 5 grand to spend should put it toward a new child is ignorant at best.
Brandon Powell
Was a constant battle. -Skirt the RV -Electric heater running 24/7 -Heat tape and insulation wrap on plumbing etc. -Propane furnace if necessary
