I would love to be religious, but i just can't help to think that a higher power like god is impossible. The reason i want to believe in god is because i see the demonic elites, and i strongly feel there is some sort of light, but i can't feel the presence of god at all. Why and how did you guys start believing? And in what form do you believe god exists?
How do you guys believe in god?

the existence of a benevolent god is pretty hard to argue even in retarded normie logic. if there is such a higher form of intelligence than mankind, they're either not benevolent, or not omnipotent
It's especially hard to believe if you have been raised non religiously. But still i see many stories of people who've discovered the light later on in life, and i wonder how that happens. Is it because they look for a sense of belonging?
>But still i see many stories of people who've discovered the light later on in life, and i wonder how that happens
maybe they're informants.
i mean, you really do have to wonder about people who are completely degenerate and then turn around on a dime like that.
God is my bitch.
thinking about God is pointless until a demon starts fucking with you
we have a demon industry
also known as the faith industry
God is evil. The only reason why we tolerate God is that God keeps track of all of the lesser evil. Very useful.
Stop asking people to explain ancient mysteries. Bad for the health of your family members.
i don't know anyone could NOT believe in God. brainlet tier

What evidence do you require, Thomas?
>Why and how did you guys start believing?
Severe brain trauma or a sudden onrush of stunning credulity and insane gullibility.
Repent and pray to God to guide you instead of posting the question on Jow Forums ...but have faith that God exists and mean it. No half measures. God will answer your prayers. Sounds like you are almost there user....you need a leap of faith though ... Not something measured or proved by science
>god is impossible
>evrthing came from nothing is more plauseable
Wew toothpaste
If there is no demons then the elites and traitors of my own species is going to make make one after all punishment for those who think of there own people as tools to use to further their position don't deserve mercy
I don't believe but sometimes I think I'm the devil.
You insult people without even explaining why you believe in god.
Doesn't even have to be evidence. I want to hear from you why and how you started to beleive in god.
That last step is because if i were to believe in something just for the sake of believing it wouldn't mean anything. Then i would have just given in to group pressure.
Didn't say it was impossible, said how it seems impossible, but it probably isn't.
Make sure you going to Heaven right now

i want to believe in a god so bad. I had a phase as a teen where I dug deep into religious texts (finding serious flaws) and basicslly destroyed all hope of believing in any mainstream religion. I just want to be traditional and based. but i can’t.
What kind of god do you believe in?
If you live in god's realm that makes you his bitch.
I don't think it could be both omnipotent and benevolent, only omnipotent. I do believe in "god" and I think good and evil exist even though those can both be entirely subjective.
Nigga GOD's pretty clear just we too stupid to simply accept it
>a teenager thinks he found new flaws in a religion studied and written about by grown men for literally 2000 years
It's not meant to be rational. That's the whole point. It's a moral choice. The strength of religion is that it understand that the purely rational isn't enough for humanity.
Are we really lacking in a right wing materialist ideology? Why would it be problematic to be some kind of traditionalist without believing in some kind of non material realm?
Nigga you just love satan's strap on too much, get right before it is too late

For me, belief came from what I perceive to be true in this world. I don't believe that the entire Bible is to be taken as the rules we are to live by. I believe the old testament exists to communicate that God gave the Jewish people the 10 commandments and to highlight the false religion they created around them.
The truth comes from reading the words of Jesus Christ. Everything he says is so diametrically opposed to this world and what it stands for you can't possible do all of it. That is what has drawn me to God. Not fuzzy feelings and miracles.
I was searching for something that could explain the disgust I feel for this world and I found that in the new testament. As a grew as a Christian I found Bible prophecy to have a powerful effect on my faith as well.
The death of Jesus is literally a peace treaty between an infinite creator and the infinite spirit of his creation. I find that the offer to simply accept this act as truth to be an elegant way to ensure that upon my death we will be at peace for eternity.
The exposure to His standard and having to wade through the filth daily also serves to bolster my faith.
Hope you find your answers OP. Never stop looking.
God is real. We are just one way he is learning about himself. The battle of good and evil is real. We all have a little evil in us, just like god. If we can overcome evil, then he can too.
Pray and see what happens. Was a militant Atheist until just recently. The more you watch the world turn to degeneracy the more you seek a power that can bring salvation. Pray and ask god, be honest with what conflicts you about believing and god will give you the signs to find him and your path.
God spoke to me *once* before literally. And speaks to me often through divine intuition.
Let me explain the process for you
1. You have want to know and be willing
2. You have to ask him
3. You have to dyor
4. You have to pray, even if just occasionally
He's not going to spoonfeed you, but if you put in the work he'll help you find the answers.
PS you don't need to attend a church for this. After the Jewsih people created their false religion around the 10 commandments, the "Christians" turned around and did the same thing with the death of Christ.
What you are looking for is found through a personal relationship with Jesus. You can approach this in any state and He will meet you there. Approach him through prayer and if you are open, you will see his hand move in your life.
This also increases faith.
I always find this so lame. "I was seeing gay people and also trans people going after children and now therefore I believe god is real."
How is that not a blatantly transparent move to rationalize the things you don't like? Like, I don't care that you don't like trannies and people having orgies in public settings like I don't like those things either but how does that then translate into some gay shit about praying?
God has always made Himself known in my life, and I was raised atheist. Good luck, user.
Are you me? What the fuck. Are we all being brainwashed or are we all just a part of the same consciousness because reading this thread is getting creepy with how people are coming to the same conclusions that I have been recently.
>if i were to believe in something just for the sake of believing it wouldn't mean anything
only if there was concrete evidence then would believing mean nothing because without evidence to believe is to hear the word of God and trust him. if there were evidence then it would be not for the values that the lord teaches that you believe, but just because someone told you it was true. you dont have to believe that Jesus came back to life, or that God created the heavens and the earth. all you need is to follow his commandments and teachings.
I didn't say gay people or trans. Though the corruption in pharma company that is pushing transgenderism on mentally ill people to sell them life long hormones is a part of the corruption in this world that pushed me to god, yes.
I rejected God for years btw.
It probably made him recognize that there is a sort of primordial good and evil that leads and influences this world.
Thank you! It's the best answer in the thread so far. I hope i can 1 day truly believe that Jesus was the avatar of god who sacrificed himself for our sins.
That sounds a lot like the theory that the universe created humans to percieve itself, with the universe being god.
What is the best way to pray?
It seems like i'm atleast at step 1. I will pray and ask himself just like the Canadian user said.
The religion behind christ got corrupted and shouldn't be a representation of god himself. I will try to understand Jesus himself instead of the religion.
I don’t think there is a name for it I just believe in a higher force from what I see in nature and I can’t believe the universe and how it all works is just a random series of events therfore there must be a higher force weather that’s our collective consciousness or a separate entity I don’t know for sure I made this picture to explain it
How can i be Christian if i hate jews so much?
Jews aren't a real race, they believe they are.
Christ was the first revolutionary he was a faggot and not related to god in anyway
Just literally pray. I had no clue how to start and after 10+ years of bashing believers I was to ashamed to actually goto church / feared family would think I was schizo for the sudden change of heart. Just do what feels natural to you, close yours or clasp your hands whatever. Just tell god exactly why you're struggling to believe and what's making you reach out now. That's what I basically did anyway.
>Julian brought forth a Pagan revival of Rome which included animal sacrifice and harassment of Christians.
>"And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down." Matthew 24:2
>In 363, Julian thought to rebuild (at an extravagant expense) the proud Temple once at Jerusalem, and committed this task to Alypius of Antioch. Alypius set vigorously to work, and was seconded by the governor of the province; when fearful balls of fire, breaking out near the foundations, continued their attacks, till the workmen, after repeated scorchings, could approach no more: and he gave up the attempt.
Does god talk back?
Do you have to literally speak, or can he read you thoughts?
I'm of the opinion God (the Supreme knower of all outcomes and decisions since he/it/whatever is omniscient) would like to talk to everyone and bless them with good decision making and pattern recognition skills but God also gave you the choice to ignore incoming transmissions.
And of course degenerate humans are going to band together to try to influence other humans into making bad decisions to further perpetuate the cycle of separation from God.
>not benevolent, or not omnipotent
Again I believe it comes down to God granting you a choice. You can choose to obey (make good healthy decisions in life learn pattern recognition 2+2=4) and receive benevolence or choose to disobey (be a degenerate make bad decisions) and remove yourself from benevolence (benefits of good decision making).

I could see god being the universe or ecistence itsef.
I think so. I mean I could just be biased and seeing connections I want to. But some of them have been pretty fucking crazy and very vivid. more than enough to convince me anyway but to each their own. I mean worst case you pray a couple times a day and nothing happens right?
>It probably made him recognize that there is a sort of primordial good and evil that leads and influences this world.
See that's probably it. I don't have a strong sense of Good and Evil. I have a strong sense of the things I like and dislike. To me religious people are people with likes and dislikes but they layer a story on top of it. "Oh it's not just ME who like and dislike those things. Actually it's totally God and therefore I am super justified right now."
Look, people say degeneracy and they usually mean stuff about sexual mores. I don't like these things either mainly for aesthetic reasons but I don't have a divine justification to stand on. I just find these things gross the same way smearing shit on a wall for "fun" is gross. I live in a clown world because I'm not allowed to look a kind smearing shit on a wall and say that it's unappealing and that I'd rather not live in a place where people thought that was a good idea. No instead I have to call it "stunning", and perhaps even "brave".
But yeah I don't find god.
Your satan digits confirmed it,
Sounds good, when i become a Christian DA and I’m going to crush every Jew i can find.
If you actually hear him you might have schizophrenia for real bro
I believe he could exist. Even the most diehard athiests aren't above his existance, just his meddling with petty human affairs for no discernable reason other than him liking longnose tribe better than pyramid building tribe, or scimitar wielding tribe more than peaceful tribe that pays too much for their water.
I started just thinking because I legit didn't want anyone to over hear me praying, militant atheist my entire adult life and all. It seemed to work but now that I've been convinced I pray out loud with out shame. Seems like better way to communicate but I have no clue how an omnipotent being works and can't even begin to comprehend it so just kinda feeling it out on my own through trial and error.
They don't think about it, they are indoctrinated to believe it, and close your mind to all conflicting information
Never heard voices. just signs and little coincidences that are to often and to complicated to be just that. It really is hard to put into words and explain because each instance is personal. I'm not gonna try and convince it's real or even that I'm not insane. Just trying to convince others to reach out to god and see if they get similar results.
it's not about the "agreement" aspect as you say. so much as it is people are recognizing there is some bigger play taking place by people who are motivated by evil. and the further down the rabbit hole you go, the more you will see these people who claim to be atheists that line the upper echelons of society are just religious zealots in a different way.
That isn't the fault of christianity, but rather shitty parenting.
Like I said. Not here to try and sway you myself. I could never do it because I'm new as fuck to religion. Just saw a thread and some people who had done very similar thigns to me and came out with the same thoughts and conclusions so I figured I'd give my personal experience. I do encourage you to try a pray or two and do just to tell god why you don't believe with an open mind. Worst case you waste a few minutes a day. Best case you find god.
The existence of the sun is enough for me but fuck organized religion, if there was a god who supposes dominion over us that looked like man he was probably an alien and we are probably an experiment that got out of hand. Light, energy is my god and since I am a product of it I don't need a limited book to learn about and have a relationship with it.
No, this is how religion propagates itself. Indoctrinating the youth.
That's why 95% of people raised Mormon become Mormons. And 95% of people raised Hindu become Hindus. And 95% of people raised Catholic become Catholics. They aren't thinking about it, they are just being indoctrinated into this shit.
The stuff they believe is all completely nonsense, contradictory. And yet they believe it, because they are trained to ignore any conflicting information. A religious person will literally not listen to you if you have questioned their beliefs.
That is more to blame on the faults of humanity rather than the religion itself. Jesus didn't tell people to force his ideas down everyone's throat, people did.
There is a higher power but it does not interact with us like many are led to believe.
As a former atheist I believe God exists in a very real way for a very good reason.
Look up the noosphere. To keep it short, the noosphere is like a big network of information transmission, with every way possible to transfer information being a part of that sphere. Speech, hieroglyphs, text messages, flags, what have you, if something transmits information from one thing to another it's a fiber that makes up the noosphere.
In this world ideas and thoughtforms can function much in the way organisms do. Read the selfish gene for more information on that.
If enough people believe in a similar concept it does exist as a thoughtform in the noosphere. Whether it can affect the world outside of the noosphere or if it's even 100% conscious or sentient is also up for debate.
God is at least real in the noosphere and can affect change there if not also here.
The next layer of reality below that is mathematical reality/platonic reality/world of forms.
yes, because religious people have a higher birthrate humans have become genetically religious
even the SJWs are religious, these people aren't thinking logically.
It's a religious movement that plays on religious themes (original sin, apostasy, redemption....etc)
There is no rationality in society, you are in a giant floating insane asylum.
Brainwash from young age. Simple as that.
>There is no rationality in society, you are in a giant floating insane asylum
I agree.
Indeed many people are brainwashed into religion, but those people aren't real believers.
Theory of Everything: GOD, Devils, Dimensions, Dragons, Illusion & Reality -the Theory of Everything
If that's the only way. Explain how someone like me. Raised in a non religious household. Spent my entire teen years mocking believers into early twenties finding god?
As a child, I used to think God was evil. Then, as an adolescent, I thought that He didn't exist. Now, as a man, I do believe in God. The way I found faith in God was through application of intellect. Why is there something and not nothing? Do I exist, and what might that imply? Can the finite give rise to the infinite? Ultimately, each of us must wrestle with these questions to truly be convinced. There is much wisdom in the Bible - but Satan and Men can speak wisdom, too. Contemplate the nature of the divine and allow the light of Truth to shine on the darkness of doubt and ignorance. You can't divine the truth by yourself... but you won't be alone.
>humans are the greatest beings
LOL retard
Time & age plus disappointment +
& failure/hopeful optimism & the will to live = God.
>Again I believe it comes down to God granting you a choice. You can choose to obey (make good healthy decisions in life learn pattern recognition 2+2=4) and receive benevolence or choose to disobey (be a degenerate make bad decisions) and remove yourself from benevolence (benefits of good decision making).
well, there is no such thing as "choice". this is a fact i realized early on in my life but i've only slowly come to understand its relation to human psychology.
in any case, i always try to make healthy "decisions" for lack of a better word. i try to stay physically and mentally healthy.
Why ask it here? Why don't you just go talk to a priest?
Because possibly like myself. they find it hard to trust the word of a man who can be corrupted so easily. I've been told by another I'm a heretic for not letting priests tell me how to talk to god. But I feel like this is at least a stepping stone or an olive branch to reach out. I could never trust the word of a man who has something to gain by selling me on their ideals. I will however trust my own thoughts and conclusions. Which is how and why I reached out to god. And to me God answered in the perfect way to convert me, might not happen for everyone but thats my personal experience.
>Why don't you just go talk to a priest?
Because he wants to know about God, not how to molest young boys.
>but i just can't help to think that a higher power like god is impossible
Why?
Try reading books about God from philosophers of old. Some of the greatest philosophers and thinkers of the past have believed in God. For some, God is the reason why we are able to understand anything at all. Have a look into Aristotle's Metaphyiscs as a starter.
in fact, i think the concept of choice and free will damages our cognitive faculties to a certain degree. it may be a tool that's used to make "justice" a palatable concept, but any understanding of human behavior and psychology that is based on "free will" is fundamentally flawed.
This.
>in fact, i think the concept of choice and free will damages our cognitive faculties to a certain degree. it may be a tool that's used to make "justice" a palatable concept, but any understanding of human behavior and psychology that is based on "free will" is fundamentally flawed.
and while most people probably understand this in some capacity, they probably also vastly underestimate just how flawed their understanding of human behavior is.
Because a priest is obviously biased while many people here have found god on their own.
Fair enough but Jow Forums has a ideological agenda to push so you shouldn't trust them either
i have to wonder how much the structure of our society depends on this simple misunderstanding.
First stage was reading about demonic elites and NASA cgi fails. Then see how those that loved Jesus lived fully and had peace in their heart, while those who do bad deeds have their heart darken. And then reading Psalms, first in fathers funeral, and then more frequently. There is definately an effect doing this. Being baptized Orthodox helped. Now need to come closer to Church mysteries. But be sure OP, if you have a mile to do towards God and its too much for you, just do those 5 meters that you can. Leave the rest up to God. So its really a relationship
PS: having heard about countless miracles from random everyday people definately helped
of course though, it's possible to acknowledge the value of law and order without believing in free will, so i must suspect an ulterior motive.
Of course. And All I've been telling people is my experience and encouraging them to reach out to God in their own way. I might be wrong and maybe pushing people to heresy. but I feel like if people reach out to god the way I did and just explain to him why you're a non believer he will show you the path to him in the best way to prove to you. Those are just my honest thoughts so I hope I don't come across as trying to push an idealogical agenda or shilling for churches etc.
If you can provide me a reason of why you have a hard time in believing in the possibility of God or "higher power", I can provide you a more comprehensive answer.
