>be unhealthy American
>get gibs for being unhealthy
>get free health insurance for being unhealthy and poor
feelsgoodman

That's how insurance works you absolute mongrel.

Why is it that you cannot choose to not purchase insurance?
And hundreds a month? That sounds awfully expensive for any insurance

They are confusing the good parts of insurance with them specifically getting kiked by American insurance for extreme amounts. In a normal country a state mandated health insurance can be a good thing.

Yeah sounds good until you're tboned by an illegal immigrant blasting through a stop light and billed $15k for emergency care, xrays, and oxys

This is how insurance works user.
Young people don't need medical help.
Old people do.
Young people pay for old people.

>just in case
Yep, that's the point of insurance. Did Obama brainfuck you so hard that you think the idea of pre-existing conditions makes any sort of sense?

But it doesn't work when doesn't pay, and the government sponsors the least productive members of society

>be healthy French dude
>never visit doctor
>pay half of my salary for niggers and boomers.

Yeah, I love paying money for absolutely nothing in return other than waiting half a year to get a simple fucking lab test which I never fucking got before my skin infection cleared up by itself.

I won't even go into the corrupt practices and nepotism so prevalent in our healthcare system.

Okay, so I get car insurance as a young adult and pay out the ass because I'm at higher risk of an accident. Why does insurance health cost so much if I'm not likely to need it?

I work in the health system (university graduate) and live in small town. Literally none of the stuff you said is a general truth here. Of course you have to wait for certain things and the system isn't perfect but is a damn good system considering hom much you pay. You are either trolling or you have zero idea how the system works and are just complaining over anegdotal evidence.

>your actual lived experiences are not true because I go to school
fuck off retard

From fucking vein supports to operating tables, its a nest of corruption and nepotism literally draining tens of millions of dollars.

Oh. Maybe because you're forced to pay for the older people, just like with social security. Wasn't that how Obama set it up? Or is that just a long-term thing? Anyway, the government fucked you guys hard.

now you are allowed to not have insurance. the problem is, if you get into an accident or develop some condition, you then will either go bankrupt or die. you just have no idea when you'll have an allergic reaction or break an ankle on a hike or at the gym, and then you'll be on the hook for often tens of thousands. and if you get diagnosed with lupus or some shit or various other auto-immune diseases that come out of nowhere, or some cancer, then you're totally fucked unless you want to give up all material possessions and go on medicaid (free insurance for poor people). such is the nature of insurance--it's for rare instances and hopefully you don't need it.

the rationale for niggerbama mandating that people have insurance is that all hospitals must do everything they can to say someone in an emergency, regardless if that person has insurance. so if some asshole gets in a car accident and is taken in unconscious and has 50k worth of emergency surgeries and whatnot, no one will ever stop to check his insurance, and then if it turns out he has none, usually the hospital will just get stiffed. it will ruin the guy's credit of course, but it's not like you will be sent to jail for not paying. so people getting emergency services and not paying puts a big dent in the cost everyone else has to pay. our healthcare system is a mess, but it's worth it to pay for insurance if you have a decent plan (which almost always is bought through your employer).

I thought taxes paid for Medicaid and Medicare fuck we're charged thrice for ourselves, the elderly and illegals

I have a chronic disease, nothing very serious in terms of limiting me functioning and working but I do require frequent check ups, bloodwork and doctor appointments. Considering how much of my paycheck goes into my insurance I would be hard pressed to find significantly better healh care anywhere in the developed world. I have had zero connections before I started working in the system and while I was in university I still got everything i required in a reasonable amount of time and the quality of service was good. I'm not contrasting my education with your experience, but my everyday experience and having encountered literally thousands of different cases in my field of work with your one singular experience. The biggest problem in the system are people who fail to comply, but even then there are measures to counteract that. Of course it could be better and it's not perfect but you are a literal idiot if oyu think that private insurance would be a better solution.

medical billing is throwing shit at the wall, they find a spot where it sticks and throw as much shit in that direction as they can before the shit pile collapses, then they find the next sap who has money

>I'm a genetic defect so give me your money.
I don't give a fuck how effective it is for you, I give a fuck that I'm forced by the state to pay for your defects out of my own pocket via labor and the one time I do need medical assistance I get jack shit and end up waiting so long that the fucking medical issue sorted itself out and still I NEVER got the lab results at least telling me what the fuck was wrong with my skin despite me being a fucking 14 year old with hands that looked like they were in an industrial shredder. It's the same fucking thing with dentists, paying insurance so I can go to a private dentist instead because I don't feel like waiting fucking months. But that' fine, paying twice for services is fine, because we need to subsidize defective people.

Fuck you and the health care system which you defend because you live off it you genetically defective subhuman. Google žilne opornice in operacijske mize or how much money the hospitals own/are in deficit and no one knows why because we're all fucking retards pretending this is fine, everything is fine.

See, people are entitled today. They've been fed that bullshit lie all their life that government is there to take care of them. There's no honour or independence in people any more. If people had this mentality of having to look after themselves, hardly anyone would not have insurance.

Add up all of the money you've paid in premiums. Apply 2% APR for a savings account simulation. What's the total to date? Would that cover a broken arm / concussion / severe dog bite / etc? If yes, you're a brainlet. If no, it was a worthy purchase.

Why in the motherfucking fuck are you paying for insurance if you don't use the doctor?
Fuck that shit.
Never insured, never used emergency room like the propaganda says, always pay cash, ALWAYS reasonable compared to insurance prices.
The cucking of America. Fuck insurance and fuck the insurance industry.
Dump that shit.

>google
>google
>google

You are literally retarded. Also, depending on the disease a person has, the cost to the system can change drastically. It would be the same thing if I said well your genetically defective skin caused your hands to crack, why would anyone want to pay for that. I'm not disclosing what disease I have, but in general if you don't fall into the category of
a) requiring very expensive medication
b) requiring surgery
c) requiring continous expensive diagnostic procedures

There's a solid chance that you're still paying more money into the system than you're taking out. I know I fall under this category because I did the math. You obviously have 0 idea about the inner workings of a medical system in thes country, other that what google, media or your factory labourer friends tell you, so you resort to buzz words, vitriol and being really mad, as you can tell from your comments. I have never gone to a private dentist and have had everything from braces to mouthpieces against teeth grinding done through the system. Why? because I kept my appointments, took care of my teeth and didn't need emergency intervention. If you did regular 6 months checkups as any dentist would suggest you to, you would have zero need for seing the dentist 'right now', short of a medical emergency, which you will get immediately, I know this for a fact. Cavities, paradontosis and similar diseases take months if not years to develop and are not immediate occurences and should not be treated as such.

This isn't the first time I've seen Americans talking about paying insurance at a rate high enough that it sounds like if they just kept the cash, they could afford to just pay for the worst coming to pass out of pocket at least once a year

Like a week ago it was a thread where a dude mentioned he was paying enough for his car insurance monthly that he could have afforded to buy a new car every 12 months instead

Am I misunderstanding or are there really insurance companies convincing people not to do any basic math before signing

The thing with the car insurance is it is illegal to drive uninsured because you have to py if you damage someone else's car

Car insurance can demand whatever because you'll go to jail without it.
Health insurance can demand whatever because you'll die without it.

So get bob mcfucks autotrucks cheap insurance

Do you not understand the concept of insurance?
>get into an accident or become deathly ill
>$6,000,000 medical bill
>go bankrupt vs. having your insurance take care of it
Are you underage and just don't know any better, or are people in America really this fucking stupid?

All forms of insurance work this way. Car insurance. House insurance. Travel insurance. The point is to insure (prepare) yourself for a worst case scenario. Any working adult with the sense of mind to value his life/property knows insurance is a necessity.

No, he was lying. Insurance can be high for high risk drivers but not that high.

?

But you don't have to buy insurance do you? Or is the obama thing with mandatory insurance still running.

brother goes on a trip in winter
jump on some sleds, nothing special just fun
having fun on the slopes
drunktard comes in pushes in one sled
he tries to avoid being hit but the drunktard
hits a tree
breaks his leg in two places, needs a heli ride and instant operation.
then anotherone where they put in rods in the bones so the grow correctly
stays in hospital 2 weeks, then another week
total cost ~220k
whatever he pays the rest of his life, its not 220k

>be healty italian
>hospitals are free
>devastated by state taxes in every aspect of your life to keep the free shit going (but only for most poor people and most dangerous pathologies)
