I work with some Danes. I'm not allowed to tell them how much I make because there were issues in the past, but because I'm an expat I don't have to pay any taxes at all. Apparently it pisses them off.

Apparently you don't understand how taxes are withheld in the USA. Your employer will automatically withhold your taxes.
I don't have to pay Federal taxes until I go over around $105,000 USD. Just have to pay state taxes if applicable (my state doesn't have income tax) and Social Security (max it out every year, and as a veteran, they've offered to start paying me out lol).
