I've given up a bunch of things. I'm not eating any sugary stuff, I've given up smoking, no coffee or alcohol, I'm eating one meal a day (unheated) and only after sunset. And I'm praying of course. But I feel that it's insufficient since I took it upon myself to also do penance for a friend of mine who committed suicide. I dunno, I think I'm doing it wrong. I know my works are but filthy rags to the Lord Our God but still.

1st time i saw the Tridentine Mass i cried a bit. it was beautiful along with the Gregorian Chant.
but the Novus Ordo can be very good too, specialy if they dont use meme instruments and have a proper choir.

that said, the silence before Mass, piety, confession line ON THE CONFESSION BOX before the Mass, Eucharist on the mouth while kneeling. All these things i can only seem to find in a Tridentine Mass. its just feels right

Thank you. I've recently came again to Christ. It's been hard having to face my own shortcomings and my lack of faith. This is actually the first time I'm celebrating Lent (heck, I even skipped going to church on Ash Wednesday like an idiot) so I'm taking baby steps here. What little penance I'm able to make for my friend I give it to the Lord.

My Archdiocese only offers the Latin Mass once a month at a parish an hour and a half away. Otherwise it's boomer Novus Ordo central.

since then i have been dedicating myself to it.
learning(youtube/book of saints), praticing(Mass, prayer, meditation)
and also considering celibacy. theres a traditional Mass seminary nearby (2hours)
it used to be related to the SSPX but now they are in tune with Vatican again
