But wouldnt they just have to hire more people to get the work done and pay the same amount ? Not even accounting for training and turnover costs

No, they just work them harder and cut corners when it comes to service.

Isn't it great that you have someone like Bernie Sanders in your government looking out for the workers' interest, user?

For the workers is it really the worst? if they were making 10$ they got boosted to 15$ but bumped down from 30 hours to 20 hours. If thats true they make the same amount every week but get 10 hours more free time a week.

Think about this for a second. Not necessarly Whole Foods, but any store.

You've worked there for 10 years. Maybe starting out as a cashier at 5-6 bucks, then going to stocking when it was 10-12 bucks, and finally making stock control/support manager (not salaried) at 15 bucks. Then one day, all the people beneath you with barely a year work experience instantly meet your pay. You get bumped to 16, but all of them are just a dollar under you. And thanks to the cost of raising their wages (as well as other people in the region), everything now costs more for you. So after all the years and work you've put in to reach your 15 bucks an hour, you are instantly brought down to a minimum wage lifestyle.

So they make the same money but work less.
Sounds good to me.

Damn is it almost if appeasing capitalists actually doesn't work and that we have to guillotine all of these fuckers

No free lunch, user.

>And thanks to the cost of raising their wages (as well as other people in the region), everything now costs more for you.
That's an argument for low wage immigrants not necessarily being a bad thing.

>imagine being so retarded you think $15 an hour is an acceptable rate of pay for a manager who oversees a whole store

>imagine not earning $40-$50 an hour considering all your increased legal responsibilities and the renumeration and award for a decade of service

America, everyone. Not even once.

This has been happening for over a decade here in aus
13-25aud a hour depending on age and nobody gets any hours it's hilarious watching normies struggle while I neet it up

>manage a whole store

Did you not read what I said, or do you make stupid assumptions? A support manger (wal-mart for example) just overseas the team stocking the grocery aisles. It's more walking around and assisting where needed. Not a store manager. Also I'm basing this in a low cost of living area in which I live, which makes your comment uneducated as fuck.

15 bucks an hour in a shithole is not 15 dollars an hour in New York, faggot.

Not at all. Making a business less efficient is bad for the workers, as less money can be invested to make their jobs better.

It's almost like politicians can't do a thing and the only way to make the workers richer is to allow business to become more productive.

It's almost if "increasing productivity" is actually the real problem here that only hurts workers, stfu brainwashed moron

>acceptable
t. brainlet

There is no acceptable, just the market and what you can get in it. You can't magic up wealth, you have to make them.

Acceptable doesn't really mean anything anyway, what is acceptable pay changes by generation.

Don't people ever ask why the costs of living are rising? Are they too stupid to know?

>generalised statement regarding management
>gets called out for brainlet level thinking of relative worth for role
>moves the goal posts
This is your smoothbrain on trickledown economics.

We have the most debt in the world mate nobody cares it's hilarious
Meanwhile I have zero debt and save more than these morons

It's almost like you have brain cancer. Look up countries by their GDP per capita and tell me where you want to live. If you produce a lot of stuff, you are wealthier. It's not difficult to figure out at all. Imagine thinking i've been brainwashed but it's just common sense.

>MUH GDP PER CAPITA
Are you fucking dumb buddy? Most of these countries (esp. Nordic ones) have giant government sectors, no Prager U style propagandists, and shit ton of regulations. I don't call this socialism but you retards do, so fuck off.

> graduate college
> find well paying job in russia as a project manager
> still receive $400 a month less than a us warehouse worker
Is there a limit to amerimutts greed?

How is it that big government sectors lead to higher wages?

Do you think Russia is poorer because USA is richer?

Retailanon here: This is ultimately what they will have to do in order to get the work done, barring some revolution in retail technology or some extremely efficient and personalized business plan for every store. Every time there's an increase in payroll, corporate shrieks and hisses and demands we figure out a way to do more with less. It just can't be done, though, and they eventually quietly acquiesce after firing everyone with enough seniority or rank to call them on their bullshit.

In Russia also things cost less you absolute retard.

AT LEAST NOW YOU CEDE THE FACT THAT YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT HAHAHA

ok, let me spoon feed you: the worker class HAS to use all means (incl. democratic ones) of combating the porkie class, utilizing the state power is not ideal/utopian/perfect/etc but this is how we get things done
capitalists also use all kinds of crony/authoritarian BS to make themselves richer, so we really shouldn't blame ourselves for it

that's 500k in the land of the fat cattle

you're a fucking retard

>AT LEAST NOW YOU CEDE THE FACT THAT YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT HAHAHA
The fuck are you talking about, you slav retarded piece of shit?

>ok, let me spoon feed you: the worker class HAS to use all means (incl. democratic ones) of combating the porkie class, utilizing the state power is not ideal/utopian/perfect/etc but this is how we get things done

Like unions, for example? They don't work. If workers get a pay rise without an attendant increase in productivity, that is passed onto the customer. If every single business was unionised, we'd all be a lot worse off. It's the same as tariffs: good for a small set of people but terrible for the whole. Also, unions lead to outsourcing. They don't ultimately even help the worker involved.

This ahistorical and nonsensical garbage is honestly quite ridiculous, you're a lost cause

Thinking that the government somehow made the worker richer and not the free market is an absolute joke. You could increase the government spending to 60% of GDP in India, the worker is still not going to be rich.

>ahistorical and nonsensical garbage
Not arguments. That is standard from people who don't know what they're talking about and don't like being told they're wrong.

>unions lead to outsourcing
It's literally opposite. You are an obvious American shill with Russian flag. Go suck a Jewish dick.

gj brainlets, you won

unless you live in Maskva you also pay much less for your house and your pelmeni

Why in the heck would unions lead to jobs staying in the country? You think if all the workers in Amazon unionised and asked for $30/hour that Bezos would want to keep his warehouses in the country?

Unions either means that workers are being paid more than they're worth or that customers are being charged more. Both these make a company uncompetitive, which would lead to outsourcing.

Do you guys even look at what you're typing or do you just say them because you'd like them to be true? Are you the equivalent of the fat girl who keeps repeating that big is beautiful?

>barring some revolution in retail technology or some extremely efficient and personalized business plan for every store.
amazon has already integrated WF in to their erp. it’s over for the worker.

Walmart annual raises have been close to $0.50 for awhile with each bump in pay grade from cart pusher to department manager(?) giving an extra dollar an hour. If the place you're living in pays only within a few dollars above federal minimum wage for base pay then a $15 minimum wage being instituted would invalidate all pay raises working there for 10-20 years.

>Why in the heck would unions lead to jobs staying in the country?
Because unions are made out of workers who own companies, who work for town, instead of exports and profit. While useless bosses are indebted and need to make profits and exports, that's ltieral definition of outsourcing. A useless Christian right wing moron finishes business school and opens up a company, needs foreigner workers, need foreigner customers, da outsourcing. No profit company works for natives. Only non-profit worker owned companies work for production of natives and to keep jobs.
Why would a profit company of any boss work for natives? Are you retarded or something?

The majority of retail workers are there to upkeep the place of business. Stock the store, clean up the garbage, help tiny ladies get things from tall shelves. So unless we get RETAILBOT sometime soon, it changes nothing about the retail situation.

democrats will always vote to improve their misery not their lives. Because they are to stupid to realize they are pawns. $30 bucks an hour libertarian here.

until their jobs gradually and gradually get automated because it's cheaper to hire a machine.

You're talking about co-operatives, not unions.

>needs foreigner workers
The only way a company would need foreign workers is because of stupid shit like unions and regulations. High wages don't mean you make less profit. Consider hiring a guy with no experience versus a guy with 10 years experience. You may hire the latter and pay him more than you would have paid the former but it doesn't mean you make less money.

>No profit company works for natives.
It doesn't matter what he works for, brainlet. Do you think that Henry Ford worked for the natives? No, but he made cars cheap and he paid high wages.

Where are they going to go
China? Venezuela?

So you would complain about making the same net pay but working less? Lol Americans literally want to live at their job. The Whole Foods near me has had a sign saying starting wage of $15 since last summer and the employees are liberal arts grads with weird hair colors that do nothing and a few middle aged men that do all the work.

To some place that capital gets more interest.

>The only way a company would need foreign workers is because of stupid shit like unions and regulations.
What fucking nonsense are you talking about you shithole Christian capitalist? Regulations are the thing that prevents you to hire cheap labor, which you removed in your EU capitalism.
Competition means there's too many companies who produce same shit and that means you have economic growth, which means you import foreigners, since too many companies means too little workers and customers.
Btw any business school kike comes from school already indebted, if that's not enough he also takes loans. When you have debt already starting a company like every capitalistic company, then you want to lower salary expenses and you hire cheap labor. There's no planned market in capitalistic little IQ boss company of any faggot in UK, he wants to sell shit, sell it fast, hire cheap to get out of debt.
Go visit a supermarket some day and see for yourself how they serve any foreigner, any nigger and have more as more migrants arrive. Foreigner private schools aren't planning for local town, they plan to get foreigners who pay them money to educate themselves. Only public schools work for local public and only unions work for local workers. You won't make a single plan for local workers in your 1000 companies, not a single chair farting day of your management will ever spend time on that, you only spend time on how to maximize profit. Don't tell me fairy tales when you don't even know basic laws, that's why you are bothered by regulations, you hire lawyers to teach you baby about basic laws, you want to skip all laws and import whole Africa to buy your burgers.

The foreign workers i'm talking about are the ones hired in outsourcing, not immigrants. If a company can't be competitive due to regulations or unions, it's more likely to outsource.

The rest of your post is some angry Slavic rambling.

No capitalistic boss of any profit company will ever spend time in their management Jew cum slurping chair to limit production to local town, only unions do that. All they want to do is maximize profit and growth into other towns and countries, they don't produce for locals, they produce for profit, big difference.
