What would be the overall effects of UBI? Would it cause inflation? Would we see any real difference in buying power?

What would be the overall effects of UBI? Would it cause inflation? Would we see any real difference in buying power?

I'll be voting for it regardless, but why can no one seem to form a cogent argument against the idea?

what's wrong with having a discord lol

>being this new

Money is just buying power. Most of the "money" the "rich" have is in asset bubbles and not being spent, thus not causing inflation.

Start spending it and inflation skyrockets.

An additional 2.7 billion to our annual budget. That money has to come from somewhere user, $1000 as extra income is meaningless when everything else is taxed to hell.

This. It must be a wahman, because it was her turn.

I'm gonna give you three pointers on UBI.

1. Infaltion cannot be caused by money which is already circulating through-out the Economy.

2. $1000 a month would help small, local business as they cannot produce at as cheap a cost as large ((((jew)))) owned corporations. Extra money would take our wallets to the main streets of our town and villages, to the farmers markets rather than the corporations.

3. UBI is with no doubt based off of populist mentality, not leftist Socialism. The populist mentality echoing from days of old by people like Huey Long, and Charles Coughlin and even modern-era populist mentality seen in Republican Alaska.

I've always been a die hard populist, this is why I flocked to Trump, but very unfortunately Trump along with all of the GOP had proven to only care about elitist jews.

>see niggers and welfare

>Would it cause inflation?
In the US? Probably yes, in both senses of the term.
CPI would rise immediately.
And eventually the colossal deficits would likely lead to the govt printing money because raising taxes or cutting spending has become politically impossible.

>why can no one seem to form a cogent argument against the idea?
Because it hasn't been implemented on a scale anywhere near the US population yet.
You can make theoretical arguments all day but in the end we'll have to try it and see.

Keep in mind that when people say "inflation" they're often referring just to the CPI ("apparent inflation"), not "true inflation" in the sense of actual expansion of monetary supply and lower value of the currency.
