Skaters are still around but when nigger rappers like Lupe Fiasco came out with songs like "Kick Push" back in like 2006 and showed off his skateboard hobby, the skateboard culture slowly over time became engulfed by the rap music scene. Now every nigger, wigger, spic and their mother is a skateboarder these days. Skater as its own subculture and unique scene is completely dead.

It's an interesting observation. Because in sweden this subculture phenomenon has completely subsided. I think it has to do with identity. With immigrants having very strong identity and being very aggressive pushing it on everyone. You can't really fight back because that's racism.
