I already own a home built 80 years ago and have lived in several built over 100 years ago.
Doing renovations, either by hand or paying somebody else to do it, sucks. I can't even imagine needing to gut and redo one of these houses in such a cold climate.

white guy fleeing california to NH in 2 months here. It's comfy boys. I went to the mall, and it was 90% whites, I hadn't seen that since the 80s/early90s. Pittsburgh is also pretty damn comfy I didn't expect it to be as white as it was.
NH also has no state income tax and no sales tax. Very high property tax though but it's good imo, it keeps housing prices down.
