I'm not sure why anyone would willingly become single. Having a partner is an entire new network of people that can open many doors for you. It makes life much easier even if your partner just stays at home. Ideally your partner should also be a good friend and fun person that you enjoy spending time with.

It should be reframed to say that people should not be afraid to be single and die alone. Once you stop caring about finding a partner and focus on improving yourself, it usually becomes ten-fold easier to get into a relationship.
