That $1000 will end up buying what $10 gets you today. - Being lowered suddenly by the new commie gov't. You can't complain because they say there's a good reason for it, and you're a dissident if you say anything. - They tell you that now you must work for it and do your part for society. They tell you where to work and live, plus you work long hours and can't even demand a minimum wage.

Communism always pushes the sales pitch of equal income, and then forces the populace into it by law.
The elite, and their higher-level gov't workers still get their perks in the form of better housing, job perks and actual products. Their paychecks officially look the same as the 'workers' who can only afford to eat a bowl of rice every few days.
Also, they take over all the businesses. You HAVE to pay what they want. The gov't ends up getting back most of what they 'gave' you anyways.
Communism makes it mandatory by law the very thing that's considered unethical under capitalism - monopolies/oligarchies.

Balancing out financial inequalities is one of the sales pitches for it. Same with promises of it fixing racial inequalities (this time, they're pitching it to Whites). Over the years, there's been many sales pitches for it.
Do a search on the CLOWARD-PIVEN STRATEGY. It was originally thought up to push the Democrats even further left than they already were.
The goal is to bankrupt the system by things like over-loading the welfare system (which the immigrants help with hugely), and to then offer UBI as the solution.
UBI itself is one of the fundamental parts of full communism. It gets everyone dependent on the gov't. You can also get cut off of your income if you get on their bad side, like speaking up about politics.
Remember that behind the scenes, the corrupt side of capitalism has some of the same huge goals as communism - such as, that selected businesses obtain a monopoly. Two faces, but it's the same people behind the mask.
