I literally know THE answer to this question. Whatever the ultimate cause, the immediate cause is that cultural propaganda has created a situation where it's perfectly fine for blacks to identify with one another "as being black", as a group "us blacks" and they can identify as a collective without fear of social reprisal. The media isn't going to breath down their necks, they won't get fired from their jobs if they have them, they won't face repercussions.
