Yes, our politicians do hate to work that's why we pay them the highest wages in this country so they can keep scratching their balls. Our assembly and senate did nothing relevant but yell at each other since the beginning of the year. Also the new people, elected last year, will assume their seats this week IIRC.

We also have this new pension reform that is really urgent and needs to get approved so we can save money to put in education, security and healthcare but commies keep saying that it will hurt the poor when, in reality, it will fuck the elite and politicians in the ass. Hopefully all the good stuff will start happening after this new pension reform approval.

Yes and normal people realized that guns and bullets are quite expensive. Regulation on guns went a bit loose now but only people that really need them (farmers and security workers for example) will get them now. Normal people hardly will get guns (because they don't want to) but now they have this option open to them.

But he lack supports on the Judiciary (the supreme court, more specifically) which was the great tool used by the socialists on the executive to pass law changes and whatever they wanted without going through congress. They would just throw their reforms to the supreme court that was massively lobbied, who would then vote for it, ignoring congress. Since now we do not have much support within the Supreme Court (head of the Judiciary power) and we want to do things right this time, he's negotiating with congress parties to gain support there for his reforms. Specially because he needs to add those to the constitution to guarantee his reforms will last, if he just decrees everything chances are the left will try to roll back everything. I'm not sure if a dictatorship would be necessarily bad, if it committed to liberalist values Pinochet style.

basically, any law reform project needs to be submitted to congress. congress, votes for the approval, suggest corrections, and basically tweak the project until it's good to pass. After that the supreme court votes for the judiciary approval of the law reform project, which is merely technical. They analyze the law project to see if it breaks constitution or the civil code or anything like that, and if it does they need to throw it back at congress for reevaluation. If it doesn't violate anything, the law is good to go and it is put into use. That's how it works ideally.

However, the government was heavily lobbied during socialist days and frequently broke that mechanism. Sometimes the executive, would submit projects straight into the supreme court, and other times the lobbied court itself would come up with law projects out of nowhere and vote for it themselves. Just recently they tried to pass a law to criminalize homophobia this way, completely ignoring Congress's competence to approve the project first. Some believe they tried to pass that to have an argument for a Bolsonaro impeachment, regarding his "homophobic comments". In fact the entire establishment is currently doing all they can to take the man down.

Many of us support all the ministers on the supreme court should be deposed and replaced, but that would be seen as dictatorial by the left that's having a stroke right now.
