We see how insane they've gotten after only 2 years of losing. It will only get worse as the campaign gets closer to election day. Look man, just do this. Between now and the election, set aside some money for a carbine, some magazines, a plate carrier, and about 5000 rounds of ammunition. Use about half that ammo for practice. Put some in your house, and some in your car. If you have a safe place you plan to go when things get ugly, set aside some supplies there too.
Put together a couple months of non perishable rations. Doesnt have to be fancy. A mix of staples like rice and dry beans along with some canned foods works. You can build an MRE for yourself pretty easy that hits all your macros and provides enough calories. Set aside water too, but its heavy and doesnt keep for long, so it's best to have a source of pot water wherever you're going.
Get some first aid equipment and learn how to deal with common traumatic injuries like gunshots and burns and broken bones.
Around elction day, maybe take a week off and fade back into wherever your prepared position is. Ideally not in a city and not near people who might become opposition. Wait and see how things play out.
