Why do Americans build houses out of cardboard and chalk? (yes I did this)
Why do Americans build houses out of cardboard and chalk? (yes I did this)
to make them less vulnerable to water and fire.
Brick/concrete is better for both those things
so is fire rated OSB, but it more expensive. Also dry wall is really easy to repair which is great for holes like yours, of if you have someone like my wife always hanging new wall decorations with nails.
We have a childrens story here about a big bad wolf and three little piggies who build houses to protect themselves.
I feel it would be of great help to any American home owners.
Cardboard does neither
big bad wolves are about the immigrants and the brick wall
Planning my house right now. Going with a monolithic dome because I want to rely on it being there for me.
Earthquake, termite, water, fire, Big Bad Wolf proof.
Back when I was alcoholic I would leave sink filled with my vomit and water running all over and destroying my bathroom. Didn't take much to repair it all, thank god I got those days out of my system. Also have never done anything like that on weed.
And you can't make a ship out of it either.
Regulations
Cheaper materials mean we can build larger structures. Hence a house that costs 100k in American materials would almost double or triple if made from brick or stone.
You have bad teeth.
I build a igloo and it melt during the summer :(
post her feet
It's cheap, anyone who says anything different is full of shit.
Earthquakes
apparently, you are full of shit
Lots of countries have earthquakes, they don't construct their homes out of cereal boxes.
A two dollar door stop would of prevented that
American architecture completely went downhill after WWII. I think the demolition of the Singer Building marks the downfall of the United States' imperial and utopistic architecture.
>he thinks the entire house is comprised entirely of drywall
Because it is cheap and building like that is easier. Americans like their McMansions with fake everything. Also you can never know if a bunch of niggers move in next door and ruin the value of your home. Lol
Shitty workmanship cope
Why should I have to pay for someone else's laziness?
Cutting corners to maximize profits in house building has been the American way since the 1980's. If you live in a home/building that is newer than 1980...it is garbage tier in quality and craftsmanship.
Enjoy your mold
Yes, at least that's why you see few brick or stone homes in California
>Also you can never know if a bunch of niggers move in next door and ruin the value of your home. Lol
Not sure if shitposting but I made a lot of money in carpentry for a few years and my boss swore on his grave that that was a legitimate reason, though in a roundabout way, for cheap housing becoming the norm of American households.
>implying drywall doesn't mold worse
Thats disgusting wtf nice story
Jeb!
Imagine firebombing the suburbs. It'd be like a Dresden 2.0
