hey OP, This and This. A weight bench and rack will cost you a little money, probably still less than a gym membership. You can usually find deals on weights themselves on craigslist or similar. I bought some from some gyms around my house that had upgraded new plates. Don't listen to either. No offense to the dude, but I have known guys who are in to the BW exercises like a cult. If you have someone telling you not to push iron, they have an agenda or are dumb. This is simple laws of thermodynamics, move heavy shit, build muscle to keep moving heavy shit. That being said the guy has a poin about stamina and cardio. You need to be able to do physically strenuous activity for a decent amount of time. Get your own weights though dude, it will make things better. Then you can invite friends over if you want lifting partners and don't have to wait on others to get your shit done.
