None of it has anything to do with freedom or democracy, and despite the current power structure espousing beliefs in free-markets and lots of financial sectors being highly unregulated- it's not even about capitalism really. Because power people don't play by whatever rules commoners are bound by- they buy their kids into prestige, they launder their cash in tax havens, while their companies spew messages of whatever social shit is trending as nothing more than marketing.

But the Chinese and Russians aren't really any different. Whatever market rules Chinese citizens have to live by aren't what Jack Ma or Part Officials live by. Whatever penalties drug dealers face anywhere in the world are better understood as some power party choosing their own drug dealers to take power.

Israel has nothing to do with how these things operate- things have operated in this fashion throughout history. It's just easier to blame a single group

If that part of progressivism became mainstream, it would be the ONLY challenge to the traditional US-Israel relationship in decades. That's not just hot-air, and the extreme responses from Clintons and McCain's and the GOPs need to double-down on anti-socialist rhetoric add weight to it.

Obama was still an establishment politician. There's nobody in the liberal establishment questioning US-Israel. Egypt and Jordan are not as reliable or powerful of allies as Israel. There is nowhere else in the region offering a friendly basis of relationships.
