It's way too early. The average voter doesn't start really paying attention until something like 60 days before the election. At this point the average voter, especially on the democratic side, is watching reality tv and taking selfies. They have no idea who the majority of these people are.

The polls right now just reflect the people with the most name recognition. The party has moved so far left I don't think Biden has a shot at the nomination. Once things get rolling he'll tank like Jeb! Harris is the DNC preferred candidate, probably hoping for either a Harris/Biden or Biden/Harris ticket. The Left hates Harris as she is nothing but an DNC insider who LARPs as "progressive", aka a Marxist.

A bunch of Hillary staffers are working for Harris. Interestingly, a lot of former Obama staffers went to work with O'Rourke before his Senate run and now several more are joining the campaign for his presidential run. It's interesting to see the DNC backing Harris along with the Hillary camp while Obama and his faction are backing O'Rourke. I don't understand why the DNC would be working on the same page with Obama.

That's a huge reason of why Donald Trump topped the polls so easily, simply name recognition.

That's also why the relatives of famous politicians get elected so readily, people just see the last name "Kennedy", "Bush", "Clinton"....etc. It's also where incumbent's advantage comes from, he has all the name recognition going into the fight. And finally it's a huge part of why money rules politics these days, without that name ID you're fucked.

At this point in the game Biden and Bernie have huge name recognition, nobody knows who those other people even are

The Dems don't have a viable candidate. Even this far out, it's clear to see. And, none of the top ranking in the poll are supported by the DNC, except Harris, but she has to lay low right now because of Smullet.

My hunch is that the DNC knows they can't win, so they're going to focus on Senate seats and governors. Well, if they're smart, anyway, and THAT remains to be seen.

For the main race, yes, but debates for the nomination for the DNC start next month. Nobody who wants a shot can miss them - January was the time frame for serious candidates to announce. It's not impossible, but I doubt any big names will drop their hat in once the debates start. The convention for the DNC is this summer - That's not much time to get your name and face in front of the American public, if you're not a big name already.

Believe it or not, Pocahontas is the most qualified of the contenders on this list. Biden, Booker, Harris are NPC lightweights. Bernie is an old school commie. Warren has gravitas. She or Schultz could potentially win in 2020.
